I love the gorditas. But let's be real, if it's bag meat I'm probably loving it when I'm feeling like taco bell

It's Taco Bell. If it's kittens with super hot sauce, at the drive in window, I'm okay with it :)

Binge.
Purge (optional).
Repeat.

I'm not proud of it, but Viva La Taco!!!

Jesus people. I'm presenting the PRO 'kitten tacos at the Taco Bell drive thru' argument. Where's the outrage? Where's the support? Where's the ambivalence?

Is there anybody ALIVE out there?

Honestly I'm just trying to wrap my head around the 190 thing........ I feel like my legs weigh more than that

Yeah, I prefer the chihuahua meat they used to use. Maybe I've just had bad luck but I always seem to get gristle in my kitten tacos.

Okay so I have a confession. I probably haven't eaten at Taco Bell in 25 years.

I've eaten cat knowingly, dog, rat, crickets, rattlesnake...

Stay strong, om. It's nothing I'm proud of but damn I go nuts over them. Fritos. IN a burrito!

Yeah I agree OM needs to got to TB today for a Mexican pizza and soft tacos!

Like Mike said some animals I've actually eaten that weren't intended to be. Dog, horse, alligator, bear, ect

So here at work I walk....A LOT. up and down stairs, hallways longer than you can shout to the end of. So I have decided to march everywhere like I was back in boot camp again.

my back hurts
my abs hurt
my butt hurts
my calfs hurt

But I'm walking taller and I can feel my core starting to wake up and tighten up.

My boots make a distinct thumping sound when they hit the floor....I definitely have a cadence going

One of my biggest regrets is leaving the military. Having my best friend that I went to boot camp with still be in and I still hang out with is even more bitter for me. I could have been right there as well serving 25 and still serving my country.

I found a picture of myself+30 pounds from a year ago.

Seriously, **** dairy.

Ever since last summer I have had a hell of a time with my weight. After about two years at 182 pounds, I went up to 190-ish during some intensive training last year, which I chalked up as bulking up weight. But since then I just have not been able to lose it. Not a pound. I dropped my calories from 2000 to 1800 ... nuthin. This week I went with the family to Hawaii for Spring Break and ate whatever I wanted. Usually a week of debauchery means I gain about three pounds (which I will spend the next month losing) but last night I stepped on the scale and it said 198.8 and I don't know if I can lose anything at this point.

I think now that I've hit my mid-40s (turning 45 in two weeks) the battle is just getting tougher or something. Suddenly I'm 15 pounds overweight with very little change in my diet. I've got a few new things I'm going to try but, man, getting old sucks.

Welcome, Henry. Been waitin' for ya. :beatnik2:

I don't want to come off like I'm pushing this too much, but I will share that at least for me, the Intermittent Fasting thing has worked. I was in the same place you are--frustrated. Calorie counting wasn't working, extra cardio, nothing. Figured I'd simply found my new baseline weight, and it was 10-15 lbs higher than I wanted it to be.

There is TON of info out there on the concept, and many different formulas, so if you're inclined to try it you'll want to research it yourself like I did. The regimen I've been on is this ... I have a daily 8-hour window to eat, then I fast for 16 hours. In my case I eat from noon-8pm, then fast until noon the next day. That's it.

I do try to eat healthy during the 8 hours, but I don't starve myself. And when I want a beer or two, or a treat, I have them. When we go out to dinner and/or drinks, I participate. Just within reason. The key has simply been to stick with it. In the 2 months since I started I've dropped 10 of the unwanted pounds, but the best part is, I've ramped up my metabolism to the point where when I do indulge over a few days, a day or two later I'm not stuck with the extra baggage--it steadily melts away again.

Not many things simply work in life, so when I find something that does I like to share the experience. I know it's not for everyone, but since I've found this lifestyle approach, it's become something I expect will be part of mine for the foreseeable future.

Anyway, like I said ... welcome to the other side.

If it makes you feel any better, Henry, I'm the same boat (and it's going to sink soon - too soon?). I was at 275 two years ago, worked my way down to 205, which is where I was in November (after not making a ton of progress since the Summer last year if I'm being honest). The Holidays added 10 lbs to that, and I have been unable to make any more progress. Last week I was down to 210, but Easter brought me up to 213. I keep yo-yoing. You're better off than I am, but I definitely feel the "plateau" thing you're talking about.

When I get home Friday I may have to look into the fasting thing Mark. I'm desperate to lose another 20-25 lbs, and Weight Watchers has been AMAZING up to this point, but I might have to change things up to make it all the way...

Thanks Mark, I'll check it out.

Honestly during my reduction to 1800 calories many days I'd just skip breakfast, which is practically what you're suggesting (though I'd have to cut the late snacking out which is probably not a bad thing.)

My one question, and this is a deal-breaker, is: Can I still have coffee in the morning? :)
