Yup. My sources say he's a go provided
- they're not lying (which they very well may be...)
- he doesn't get hurt in practice (what little practice he gets) or for some reason look unsteady

I like Tony Kornheiser's idea... bare with me, it may sound stupid, but shocker it's a compromise of everyone's concerns...

Cousins gets the start
Griffin gets the 'be ready'
If Cousins can go out and not suck, let him keep rolling.
If there comes a time were things start looking shaky, throw Griffin in.

I'm 100% sure they wont do that though.

Then she knows more than my wife. Apparently she dumped half that stuff when she moved on to a different job. She came home and goes 'whats LCL' and i wanted to throw something at her.

Thats a good question... They'd have to deactivate someone else.

Guess that'll tell us how serious the injury is.
 
3rd QB doesn't have to be active, new rule this year.

I used to think that too, but which team in the NFC is just too good for us?
If we can catch the Giants, we'll be hosting the wildcard game for a chance to play the Falcons, who have only played three teams with winning records this whole year (we've played eight). We nearly beat them with Kirk Cousins.
I don't really like the idea of going to Lambeau field or Candlestick after that, but anyway.................

I agree, they should rest him this week but they probably won't. What really bugs me: why did they let him limp around in full uniform after he came off? Shouldn't the knee that holds up the future of the entire franchise be on ice and elevated like anyone with basic first aid training would tell you?
 
Interesting...I've been under the impression all season that Grossman could potentially play, despite being inactive.

Having players inactive on gameday is one of the most ignorant, asinine rules employed by the NFL.

And Jeebus Hiratio Christis people.

If the Doc's say he can go, and HE says he can go, then he goes.

He's the guy that went out there and couldn't walk but played two snaps. He's the last person that should have a say :)

I admire his competitiveness, courage, and flat out ability. But the down side of all that is not knowing when to take a step back.

Going off what Shanny said at his presser.

Andrews, gave the ok for Griff to go back in after checking the knee on the sideline. He's the guy everybody wants to work on them, when needed. He surely isn't beyond being wrong. But he's the authority, in my mind.

I don't think for a second, that anybody will put the kid in if it ain't safe. And, I think too many of us are worrying about something we know little about, and can't change anyway.

We have to beat the Cleveland Browns Sunday. And I don't care if it's Griffin, Cousins, or Grossman. It will be, what it will be.
 
Yeah I don't even know who Dr. Kaplan is. I'm assuming that, because Chris Russell thought it was news worthy, he's someone who knows what they're saying.

But that's a mighty big assumption, Russell isn't exactly a no-nonsense guy...
 
Media folk need to keep the phones ringing, the twitters tweeting, and the conversation flowing. It's what they do.

I'm in favor of starting Cousins even if RG3 can play. I would keep RG suited up however. I can't say we will make the playoffs or not if we lose to the Browns. I feel pretty confident that if we lose RG3 for an extended amount of time because he was rushed back it won't matter. I'm already excited and on board for next season. What ever wins we get this season is just gravy. Would I like to see the Skins in the playoffs this year? Of course. But the idea of Cousins guiding the team to victory against Cleveland would surely provide more options during the off-season...
