What are some of the most infamous Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins games in NFL history?

he managed to beat dallas twice that year did,nt he?In more recent history I go back to 2005. Leading 28-0 at the half and then winning 35-7 on the way to the playoffs. I was there that night and it was glorious. I will even give Ron his due for the 2020 win over them on Thanksgiving. One of the few true bright spots of his tenure.
first mnf game i was allowed to stay up and watch with my dad on the family color tv.First one that comes to mind for me is the Monday night 1973 game where Dallas came back, but on fourth and goal, Ken Houston stops Walt Garrison less than a yard from scoring to seal the win.
I watched that game, as a young teen, at a friend’s house, because he had a cute sister.
Most of the great ones have already been mentioned, but one of my earliest Redskins memories and if we were talking " infamous ", for me, it would easily be the last game of the '79 season.
We win, we're in.
Watching Riggins race 66 yards down the sideline to put us up 34 - 21, was a thing of beauty.
But then, ...
Disaster.
Staubach leads them back with two touchdowns, the second coming with 39 seconds to go.
We did however have another way to get into the playoffs. We just needed the Cardinals to not lose to the Bears by more than 34 points.
The Bears beat the Cardinals 42 - 6.
The '82 season championship game was sweet, sweet revenge.
monk missed the game with a broken foot i think.know he missed the sb.I hate to disagree with The Oracle but I will.
For me the ‘82 NFC Championship Game will be forever known as the Daryl Grant pick 6 game not the Monk catch game.
itt was pretty special, but that entire season was.The list starts with the 2 NFC Championship games as they were far more important than a MNF game in October. I was 13 in 1972 and we all know what sports means to a 13 year old boy. Unfortunatly I was visiting my dad who was living in Malaysia and missed that game. Yep missed Hurricane Agnus the summer before for the same reason,.
But the 1082 NFC Championship Game, now that was one of the most exciting things of my entire life.
i yelled and woke my 9 year old son at the time up.I woke up my wife when Moss hit the 2nd long td. Back then she still had some interest, that is slowly returning. After it was over I backed up the last 5 minutes or whatever it was and she said "are you sure they won this game?"
Was my one and only trip to Texas Stadium. Had a friend who had moved to Dallas the year before for work, so me and the boys went down for that game. Great tailgating with a Redskins fan group from Plano. It was about 97 degrees that day, and if you’ve never been there, the concourse at Texas Stadium is asphalt. Even after the sun went down, we were still baking. Drank a LOT of beer that night, and barely caught a buzz. When we got back to my friend’s house, I took off my jersey, and had an inch thick salt ring around the chest of my t-shirt.i yelled and woke my 9 year old son at the time up.
