Great Movies That Others Might Enjoy, Or Ones To Avoid

I still am unable to bring myself to watch a movie with the insufferable Ben Stiller. He may be the most annoying actor in the world. Now, most annoying person? Well, Goa...umm...never mind.

Haha, I loved him in Dodgeball. Hilarious!

Yeah. My kids' youth group had some sort of Dodgeball tournament last year, and I kept wandering around saying helpful things like, "If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball". Pretty sure I was close to being asked to leave.

NOBODY MAKES ME BLEED MY OWN BLOOD!

Who doesn't love Zoolander!?!?! That movie has me crying laughing every time!

Never saw it.
I'll send it to you! haha, seriously, so many hilarious parts of the movie...
The Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good...what is this? a school for ants!?! & the gasoline fights are hilarious.

*I did the Blue Steel pose in just about every photo I took at college parties. Idiot girls these days with their stupid duck face selfie pics; it's all about photo bombing with the blue steel pose!!! Amateurs.

I did not remember Electro being black, and having read almost every Spiderman comic growing up, I figured I would have.

Are we really trying to implement affirmative action by making more black bad guys? This makes sense? :)

Who cares one way or another? As long as the movie is good. Pick the best actor, as far as I'm concerned.

Eh...there are liberties taken in every movie based on something. Its just the way of the medium.

It is all about money at the end of the day.

you can stick to the true character and their stories and still make money. Hollywood just chooses not to because not enough people care about the integrity of a story and sticking to it.

Jesus was a Jew from the Middle East, but has been portrayed by pale white men in Hollywood for forever.

I'm not even sure what to say here. But there is no way I'm ruining a thread by discussing religion now when we were just talking comics. This thread is about movie and lightheartedness.

I thought we were talking about making Electro and Wonder Woman black?

My bad guys, let's let it go. Sorry, when I posted it I had a fleeting thought to put it in PA, which is what I should have done. My fault.

I think it's a good discussion though. Probably better suited for the PA, you're right.

Saw Wolf of Wall Street. Decent, but not fantastic. Also, about thirty minutes too long.

It's three hours long, and it isn't a visual masterpiece, so I'd wait to watch it from home.

I've heard grown men say they were tired of seeing nudity by the end of it.

I'm not sure that's even humanly possible.

I will say that there is a lot of nudity. It's definitely not the movie you want to take an eighth-grader to see. There are a lot of drug scenes too.

Some people love it from the get go. I hated it until about the 4th time I saw it. It took a while to grow on me. Then there are movies like Don't Mess With the Zohan. I detest every ounce of that movie, and I would never even consider watching a clip of it again. My sister thinks it's the funniest movie ever made, but I just thought it was horrible in every aspect. The humor was on the level of stuff I would have laughed at in elementary school. I've been a hug Adam Sandler fan for years, so it isn't that, I just hate it.

weird..I've never seen ANY of those movies and I pride myself on watching some horrible movies.
Right. Me and a buddy went to Blockbuster years ago and wanted to see a horror movie. But we were in the mood for a cheesy, horribly scripted horror movie. So we intentionally searched for one that not only sounded like it sucked, but one where it would be a visual atrocity as well. And to our delight, we nailed it. Worst movie ever - Redneck Zombies. I would be stunned if that movie cost more than a pack of Marlboros and a deuce of Schlitz to produce.
