College and pro football are not the same game. They are different sports as evidenced from the fact only a small percentage of college players transition to the NFL.
These old college dynasties from Oklahoma, Notre Dame, USC, etc. from decades past are no accurate gauge when judging against modern day coaching where there are no territorial grants and there is widely disseminated information on prospects and in recruiting.
