Gameday - 2020 Week 15 - Washington vs Seattle Seahawks - TV Map Included - Weather Updated

Really zero sense in even watching at this point.

Important note.. if Alex starts this game the same way he started vs San Fran, it's unlikely we win anyway.

He's been the starter for 3 minutes and he's bragging about hitting a top 4 WR in the NFL in the knees when 42 year old Chad Johnson is covering him... come on man.

Do I think we can win the game with Haskins, I do, it is highly unlikely, sure, but that's why we play the game folks.

Haskins will throw 40 fastball passes and most likely interceptions for everyone. They're going to feast on him and our D will be stuck on the field for the entire game.

If we lose I will happily eat crow. But, if Haskins is doing what he normally does he should be cut immediately. Let Logan Thomas be QB.

Yeah I don't feel very confident, but I'll point out a couple things that could open the door to a little

The Seahawks do not have a good defense. They're ranked 6th worst in YPG. They do not have a good pass rush and their secondary is questionable at best. Jamal Adams is an animal but him and Wagner are about all they got. Dunlap is nursing an injury...

I'm not saying I'm confident...

Well, we know Dwayne is capable of playing well enough to win a game. He just has to get out of his head and let his athleticism take over. It would be nice if he got some help from the OL, RBs, WRs, and TEs. Oh - and from Scott Turner. I think for Dwayne to be effective we need to pound the rock and give Dwayne some play action opportunities. He’s not a great dink-and-dunk QB.

That is absolutely a fact. Haskins is a better bet than the Alex we saw in the last game

Smith must’ve torn something. No way with a full week of medical treatment he should still be sidelined with a muscle ‘pull’ or ‘soreness’ in as big a game as this is. That’s concerning because it makes it more likely we may not see him again in 2020.

yeah i dont know... i haven't seen any of those updates.

I would have loved for him to have been traded. IMO the worst thing that could happen is he plays really well and we are forced to kick the tires on him again. Like MikefromOH said id gladly eat crow if I'm wrong about him.

Haskins in 2020:

1-3
1 win: 178 yards and 1 TD

I have zero confidence in a kid who struts around like he's a world beater yet can't consistently throw over 200 yards.

* and also doesn't win...

Alex doesn't consistently throw over 200 but he makes a lot more of the 'right' decisions. He doesn't throw picks, he throws the ball away. A handful of times in his first couple games back he took bad sacks but he was still re-learning QB in the NFL after a 2 year layoff and a change to his body. Haskins needs to be smart Sunday if we want a shot to win.

He may not always throw over 200, but he throws over 300 waaaaaaay more than Haskins does.

Screen Pass? Better throw a bullet!!
Crossing route? BULLET!!

Deep ball? YOU GUESSED IT!! Bull-ITT!!

Oh i know brother.

The almost INT to McLaurin last week was because he hesitated then tried to rifle the ball into a window and it sailed.

This 'sounds' great, but when you do it in a Zoom call an hour and a half after you're on social media posting videos of you in shorts over the summer, right after you're named the starter I retain the right to have pause when changing my opinion of your maturity and personality.

so what?

dude has the potential to make millions per year and he says "so what?" to his first impression and practices being so poor?

Well, let’s be honest. Haskins hasn’t lived up to his potential and he literally can’t win at the moment no matter what he says - DP is 100% right about that part. No one said Haskins has won a bunch of games. But I think he is capable of doing it if he plays within himself, takes what’s there, and listens to his coaches. He either will or he won’t. It’s not like our offense, with ANY QB is a juggernaut right now. If between Haskins and the RBs we can manage 21 points and the defense shows up, we have a chance.

No bones abput it, I have seen literally zero that gives me faith Haskins will get a W this weekend.
