Didn't say he was smart. There have been a fair amount of players who sacrifice the better of the team including the inspiration for your screen name
 
John Riggins may have drank alot of beer and had Joe Gibbs afraid of him but when they needed him most he put the team on his back.

Trent? Not so much.

Really, IMO, there's really nobody that played here the last 20 years that deserves to go up there.
 
He "retired" and Gibbs had to go to his ranch and talk him back...

And Kerrigan deserves to be up there the day he retires, or does the franchise sack leader not qualify?

Gibbs wanted to trade him,remember? That's why he went out there.

He is the current franchise leader... he's earned it if he retires tomorrow


August 1980... riggins wants fully guaranteed deal and walks away

Completely different eras.

I'm not saying the trent ending was at all positive, Allen messed it up and Trent handled it like a baby.

My comment was that he was the best player we've had for a decade. Then when you come at me about his suspension, I just pointed out that we have some beloved players that have made some concerning decisions,

In fact I never even made an argument for or against the ROF. Just that in some pretty terrible years, he was always considered top 3 at his position.
 
Oh and I believe Lavar Arrington is in the ROF and he left here like a nuke...
