Free Agency:

I don't know about the Seattle front office. Remember the signing of Tarvaris Jackson?

I didn't think he showed us anything in Minnesota except that he really couldn't play consistently at this level.

Our good friend Brandon Lloyd has reunited with McDaniels & signed with the Patriots (as expected).

There are two reasons why no one wants to come to Miami-

Jeff. Ireland.

I'm pretty close to the situation living down here. It's very similar to when we went through the Danny & Vinny years, only with much less money to offer and better weather.

Ireland is a leftover from Parcells time with the team. One would think Ross might have cleaned house after last season to show people he was serious about moving in a different direction.

The Patriots just agreed to a one-year deal with free-agent wide receiver Donte Stallworth.

The fact Miami didn't sign Flynn whose HC was Flynn's coordinator in GB speaks volumes to me.

Miami was dropped from the Manning sweepstakes and other qbs such as Orton had already signed with other teams.

The Dolphins are now interviewing David Garrard? :)

That says to me that Philbin believes Flynn IS a seventh round pick that simply had two good games but lacked staying power and overall talent at the position for sustained success.

Seattle may regret this move more than any of the other teams that made moves to address the position in the offseason.

Yea, it's more an indication of how bad the situation is in Miami, than what they think of Flynn, as for the reasons Flynn went elsewhere. In other words, Flynn's decision, not Miami's.

And I think Ryan Clark would agree

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that the Jets are making an “aggressive push” to sign free agent safety LaRon Landry.

Likewise, Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com reports the Jets are “trying to sign” Landry after his Sunday visit to the club’s Florham Park facility.

While the Jets have also shown recent interest in free agent safety O.J. Atogwe, the Landry and Atogwe pursuits appear to be independent of each other. Atogwe is almost strictly a free safety. Landry is an in-the-box strong safety. They play different positions.

Landry AND Atogwe?

The Jets evidently don't worry about durability issues with their signings.

What are the chances these guys play 16 games in 2012?

You could combine the games that Laudry and Atogwe both play this upcoming season and I would still take the under on 16.
