It's a shame the Redskins didn't go after Orton 2 years ago. He's the perfect back-up in my opinion. I hate that Dallas got him. As for our current situation, I'd almost rather we'd gone with Beck. Grossman, volatility and bad decision-making and all, is still a far more effective QB. But I'd rather have Beck's attitude, work ethic, and character (at least as I perceive it) in terms of helping RGIII adjust to the NFL, than whatever it is Grossman brings to the table. I'm not saying Rex is a bad guy - but whatever he has to 'teach' Griffin, I don't want any of it taught...
Cutting Beck now would save another $1 mil on the cap - maybe $2 mil (seem to remember something about a roster bonus). Wouldn't be surprised to see him waived sometime soon.
