Free Agency:

Redskins looking to make VJax the richest receiver in the NFL tomorrow.

I just read that too. Going backwards imho.

He has two, three years left. Watch us give him a long contract.

A better decision would be to look at the others out there.

Is this an insider for the Redskins leaking info or V-Jax agent?

It's honestly hard to tell these days El.

Do you have twitter? I'll post it for you....and if everyone likes, I'll post the better "insider" links you can follow.

Here are the better "insider" links. Almost all of the info comes from two main people.

@Jsteelzextreme

@LL56_HTTR

There are others too, like @AdamSchefter but he covers every team, obviously, and has a ton of tweets unrelated to the Redskins.

Yeah, sometimes I will go over to ES to see what those 2 have posted if I feel like scrolling through the nonsense.

I have refrained from the Twitter world, I might create an account.

If you get an account, you can avoid a lot of the nonsense. :)

I think we can all agree on one thing, the timing of the new NFL season is much more conducive to a good night sleep. It's been a while since I have stayed up til past midnight in eager anticipation of any news of the big splash! Good thing we won't have to tomorrow. :laugh:

Yeah, my gf is going to be pissed when FA starts tomorrow afternoon.

wallace would be a better WR for RG3 ..can't we offer him a deal and they have to match or do we have give up a pick also ! also younger than v jac..

I believe to get Wallace we have to give up a first, which we obviously don't have available until 2015. Pretty sure the Steelers won't go for that.

I can't help but think the penalties (whether they hold up or don't) on the cap front are going to make top free agents very skittish about wanting to come here. I think this could really hurt us. Agents/players aren't going to be clamoring to come to a team when the deal may or may not get approved.

Well, it appears $18M was posted from the NFL against the Redskins cap.

So, the Redskins should have $20M plus the dollars from the Sellers and Atogwe rebates.

Even by the rules, that's more space than many teams have.

Yeah, I thought I saw that. So now the NFL is saying we can't split it up over two seasons how we want? It's their choice?

Who knows what the hell the NFL is saying anymore.

"Redskins looking to make VJax the richest receiver in the NFL tomorrow."? You got that from Twitter "Work in Essex County," page 98, right? Yeah, I read that too. Were you gonna plagiarize the whole thing for us? Do you have any thoughts of your own on this matter? Or do you, is that your thing, you come into a bar, read some obscure Tweet and then pretend - you pawn it off as your own, as your own idea just to impress some girls, embarrass my friend?

;)

So much for having the option to spread it out over 2 years as we chose...

Nah, I'm in Burlington County. :)

Going to be an interesting day. Heck, the season could be delayed. It could go off without a hitch. Tracking Redskins One could commence in a few hours.

I love FA I love waking up switching on my PC and seeing who we have splashed the cash on.

I want a legitimate, consistent WR.

Help on the right side of the O line

two DBS possible three if Hall goes along with Otagwe

Is that too much to hope for?

You guys need to accept that this is no surprise to the team. They've known about it and there will be no fight. That 18 mil is what the team decided to absorb this year, IMO. That's my story until proven otherwise. The league isn't talking, and I bet the teams come out with a statement that they've accepted the penalties so as not to have a negative impact on the Free Agency and the coming season. This is all being purposefully vague and will remain so until it some time passes and it drops off the radar.

I wouldn't be surprised if RG3 came out and threw down an ultimatum that he won't play for us if we draft him. What a mess. If I was a free agent, I couldn't steer far enough away from Snyder if winning was any kind of priority.
