Everything is different only the face remains the same

This is making me wonder if Kliff’s people are actually burning the bridge behind him and talking tons of shit to make him look better as he tries to solicit HC interviews, though. Is he doing us dirty?
Local radio jockeys today discussed this tweet and the current prevailing guess was: yes, Kliff (or Kliff's agent) is behind it. They were also on the side of guessing it was untrue largely for similar reasons you said, although they did say that the tweet came from the guy who was first by a mile on the Terry McLaurin is unhappy story last summer. So their claim was this guy has real sources who can't be dismissed; they also said the guy talks to a lot of agents.

I don't really know this guy (Schultz, I guess), so it was all news to me, but thought it was interesting.

Simply because you are so ready to jump at "same dysfunction" with seemingly every post you make. No one thinks things are fine. You're the only one I see ready to panic and think nothing has changed

Well I’ve only been posting here for a year, and there’s been a lot of bad news in that time, but again, there is a big difference between thinking things are bad and wanting things to be bad.

‘PFT Commenter (a/k/a Eric Sollenberger . . . a/k/a the twin brother of the late Eric Sollenberger)’ 🤔

Very much qui bono. Given the outright contradiction, and Schultz having connections to agents, it makes sense what the source of this was...

I don't think we know who is behind the Jordan Schultz tweet or whether to even trust the Jordan Schultz tweet.

Kevin Sheehan and Thom Loverro discussed Jordan Schultz. He is Howard Schultz's son. Howard Schultz was the CEO of Starbucks from 1986 to 2000 and former owner of the NBA franchise the Seattle Supersonics/OKC Thunder. Given his father's background he does have some contacts in the industry and he gets some stuff right. As SkinsNumberOne pointed out he was early in reporting McLaurin situation last summer. I would not dismiss the tweet entirely. However, he is not an industry insider, he most likely one sources a lot of stuff, and is not what I would consider a highly reliable source. Don't dismiss him, but wait to find out more information.

I’m sure there’s some truth to the Schultz tweet, clearly from Kliff’s folks. Keyword being ‘some’.

While I know the narrative is that many players are upset about this, Cosmi was on with BMitch the other day and while he was complimentary of Kliff - he made a few comments that piqued my interest. The primary one being if it was up to him, they would slow down a bit as an offense as it allows them to diagnose better. I’ve got to imagine he hasn’t been alone in that thinking.

Hurry up is great when you catch the opposing D where you want them, but on the other side - it stinks for the offense when the opposing D has you nailed down. Also a lot of chaos, with allowing D’s to sub, leading to false starts and delay of game penalties.

I saw that interview and I am a huge Cosmi fan. It was a pleasant change from all the other rumors/crap swirling around the team right now.

Anyways, I think most OL would rather slow the pace down, run the ball more and the play calls be less predictable. We all know that's what Cosmi would like lol.

Yeah, it was no surprise to me that he would prefer to run the ball. What stuck out to me was when he used the word ‘identity’ and that he would prefer to slow down a bit, and gave the reasons why. It was less lineman 101 speak, and more honest talk that you don’t always get in scenarios like these.

Kliff also has the infuriating habit of running hurry-up, but also still subbing a ton of guys. Which removes the advantage of “catching” the D with personnel you want to exploit entirely AND means you have to wait to snap the ball until the D has had a reasonable amount of time to also sub, as the refs mentioned a couple times this year. So arguably we had a lot of the downsides of running hurry-up but not all of the upsides, as Kliff is from the Sean Payton school of subbing constantly

Bottom line is any coach has to make JD’s health a #1 concern. Be it designing plays to lesson the chance of harm, or coaching him up better when to give up on a play. I think that’s why Kliff is gone. To many play calls either putting him in harms way or relying on him to be Superman.

I see that Shanahan, McVay and going back to Gibbs 1 teams used MOTION and ALIGNMENTS to put defenses at a disadvantage in particular matchups.

You don't need to run hurry up as much as this team did to produce on offense.
