ESPN: Shanahan was ready to quit in '12

Snyder's being blamed for empowering Griffin. For giving a 23 year old power over a head coach.

No one is saying Shanahan isn't responsible for the team.

There are two completely different issues going on right now. Don't conflate them.

Well, before Griffin Shanahan chose to acquire and start Donovan McNabb and then Rex Grossman and John Beck.

So, it's not like Shanny had ever had a solid hold of the qb position here in Washington.

Pierre Garcon on Shanahan saying he didn't prepare the team well enough: "It wasn't coach's fault."

‏@granthpaulsen

Santana Moss: "It's not about coaching. It's not about coaches. It's about us. It's about how we want to be looked upon in this league."

‏@granthpaulsen

Santana Moss: "Any player that's playing in this league would want a coach like Coach Shanahan."

@granthpaulsen

Santana Moss: "Coach has been doing one of the best jobs that I've ever been around.. As players we've got to go out there and play."

Well, evidently that is not true or the preparation and results would be better.

The old adage that you watch what people do rather than what they say applies here.

Umm...you were giving him a pass just yesterday saying he was not responsible for this team's woes, blaming Cerrato and Snyder.

No, I said they were fundamentally responsible for the cap issue.

I know you enjoy getting in spats with me, but try to be smarter about it in the future. Put some more effort into it so it's at least somewhat enjoyable and meaningful.

I don't dislike the idea of Griffin being QB here.

You're too smart for me Travis...I wouldn't dare tangle with an intellectual giant like you!

Do you think that Elway, Marino or Montana didn't have close relationships with their owners and were empowered to some degree?

Think Aikman didn't have that with Jones?

Some folks evidently are naive enough to think egos begin and end in Washington.

The performance of the defense and special teams belies the thought Griffin and Shanahan friction is the one thing holding us back.

First - I don't give a shit what worked for other people at other times in other organizations. I only care about what does and doesn't work for us, here.

Snyder has a history of putting players above coaches. A long, documented history. The results speak for themselves.

The big turnaround this organization was supposed to be making centered mainly on the fact that Snyder would no longer be in charge of the football side of things.

Remember the stories about how the first thing Allen and Shanahan did was block off Snyder's office from players? Remember how that was supposed to be an awesome thing?

It was a bunch of bullshit and we now have a 23 year old overruling a long term, 2 time superbowl winning head coach.

Sweet. I'm sure this is going to work out awesome.

Well you keep trying...

One would think you'd figure it out eventually but here we are again.

What has been figured out is that you're a very unlikable guy. I will say a prayer for your wife...she must be a very unhappy person spending life with someone like you.

Yeah man, she's absolutely miserable.

BGO Staff member here. Striving for the best.

Winning is going to cure a lot. A LOT. If, and it's a big IF, the next guy Danny picks brings a winner to DC, a lot of this angst goes away.

Yeah man, she's absolutely miserable.

I would imagine so...having to spend time with such an absolute control freak. Do you hit her when she gets out of line?

I know it's grown tiring complaining to the staff about me and hearing the same thing over and over. (It's weird how I almost never get in trouble yet you almost always do, despite you being friends with all of the staff. Super weird)

It must be rough to just be so ****ing stupid that this is what you have to resort to as a person.

You may not care about what happened with other players and coaches but if you look at THIS team and what schemes we are running and how the defense and ST have played overall you would come to the conclusion there are MANY problems.

And I don't really think Snyder is deeply involved in who the Redskins decide to put on the punt return team or what big ugly we are drafting in the middle rounds to play on the line.

Shanahan wanted and got Haslett and Burns so he is living or dying with his own choices.

What I find entertaining is how someone can claim to be so smart when you continue to bait me, Ex, Lanky and everyone else with whom you disagree, yet you'd be so stupid to attack me like that expecting no consequence. Buh bye!

If you think Shanahan needs to go, you get no argument from me. The staff is indefensible. I've said that a few times.

My problem is with Snyder and the organizational culture he's created here. Which is a completely different issue.

I'm not saying you, or the other shanahan-must-go people are wrong. I have no idea how to fix things outside of removing snyder from the picture.

You're the one telling me I hit my wife...

Go **** yourself. You're an absolute piece of shit and I can't believe you're allowed to get away with your nonsense.

Yes, you will get to stay here. You're staff, and the ownership likes you. I'll be the one to leave. Congrats, that obviously absolves you of your douchebag personality and the crap you've pulled here.
