DRAFT DAY (3)

FWIW
Cooley and Doc both like what they see in Murphy, 'he's a baller'.

No one (at espn 980 radio) is critiquing the value relative to draft position but Cooley is 'studying' Murphy's tape, family history and combine stuff is admitting to having a 'man crush'. Mentions of mean streak, steer wrestling and tough love upbringing

I'm finding it hard to hate on a guy that led the entire country in sacks last year.

If the FO had him graded above the available RTs at that spot, then I can't get too pissed.

The school of thought these days seems to be that corners are dispensible, that outside of a handful of guys, there are no shutdown corners anymore. You win by getting pressure on the QB. At least that's what everybody tells me.

Disagree, we saw a ton of DBs go in the first and second rounds, many more than pass rushers.

Moses and Nix both there. The gamble has paid off so far.

One note, Moses is questionable in run blocking.....maybe that's why he's still there.

I don't believe it. An offensive lineman!

Pardon me for a few minutes folks, while uncork and finish off this bottle of champagne.................................................

So everyone wanted Moses with pick 34. The Redskins trade down, get a baller in Murphy, a 3rd round pick, and still get Moses in round 3. That's getting value.

Do we move him to guard ala dockery

So Moses, and the guy who led the country in sacks last year? Plus an extra third?

Yeah......I'll take that.

These guys are experts? Because Moses had a 21 inch vertical leap he is destined to have a hard time in the NFL

Evidently, these guys didn't get a look at Nate Newton, Bubba Parris or a whole host of pro bowl and Super Bowl winning offensive linemen that were just straight ahead graders.

Did you guys just witness pigs fly as well?

Tough to buy into the Haz unleashed stuff.

He's a mediocre DC who has had a mediocre career...and just came off a dreadful season.

...and they just drafted a linebacker who fits better in a 4-3 than a 3-4.

It's obvious next season should merit low expectations.

Where are you getting some of your info? He just led the NCAA in sacks at OLB in a 3-4 defense at Stanford...
