DRAFT DAY (3)

Is he fast enough to cover TE's? How is his lateral movement? Is he qhuick? From everything I have seen in the videos I saw of him over the last 12 hours  he seems to get into position, but from smarts...not quickness.

Sounds a lot like an ILB that just retired here ...

Exactly Henry. There have been so many guys come out of college who weren't big enough, or fast enough, or whatever that were just good football players. I believe Murphy fits in that category. I like the pick.

Last night Cooley compared Murphy's combine to Kerrigan's . He's a bit slower in 40, not as strong bench press, almost there broad jump.
Better at vert jump, cone drill and shuttle.

Cooley suggested that the physical skills that actually count for his position are pretty good.
Cooley also sees that 'boy scout' attitude ala Kerrigan.

Cooley and the boys on espn 980 had a lot of fun referring to Trent's dad who comes in at 6'9" 290

Mayock compared Murphy to Mike Vrabel; unspectacular player who only began to shine once he found the 3-4 systems.

I'm hoping BB nails another one in Bullough... He's an instant solution to our ILB problems IMO.

We picked up a corner already.

5'11"

A home run at the CB position. Mayock had him in the second. We get him in the fourth.

Washington Redskins: Bashaud Breeland, CB, Clemson: A- Grade

Bashaud Breeland is a slightly better cornerback prospect than Jaylen Watkins. If it weren't for some character concerns, he may have been chosen in the second round. Washington, of course, needs secondary help, so this is a very good selection.

Dallas Cowboys: Anthony Hitchens, LB, Iowa: JOHNNY MILLEN Grade

And the first UDFA prospect is off the board. No surprise, given who's making the pick. I heard zero buzz about Anthony Hitchens, so I'm sure many teams expected to sign him after the draft. Jerry Jones needs a GM.

LMAO @ Jerruh in the fourth.

5th too soon to take a shot with Lyerla? Know he has issues and he has to get bye Seattle & the Pats - each twice.

I liked McGill but Breeland is more NFL ready. Gotta clean up his on field antics, shouldn't be too hard. They don't need to press him for much time on the field.

I see the Texans took Louis Nix. Oh well... Another beast we're gonna have to face week one. Texans D is gonna be brutal!
