Is Udinski available? The Jags cannot stop him from taking HC interviews cause that is a promotion, but you would only be allowed to interview him for OC gigs if the Jags allowed and I don't see any reason they would.

The more I read about him, I think no shot they let him go.

Didn't realize until the other day all the hype around him.

I cannot remember the rules, if Liam is the playcaller in Jacksonville and Udinski is the OC but not playcaller, I cannot remember if it is considered a promotion or not.

I think I saw somewhere that you can block the hire because the title is the same.

Or would it also bypass need for permission if we are searching for a Asst HC/Offense?

What if offered a Asst HC/OC?

Not sure if that does it but maybe. Reading about him, it feels like he is the hottest young offensive mind in the league so the demand will be high, some mentions as a HC candidate already.

Would DQ and AP be willing to stake their future in Washington on a real young possible stud like that though?

I think in a vacuum yes but the issue with it is does he want a McVay level hyped coordinator threatening his job?

Solid point, but I see him playing it safer with a more known commodity

Harbaugh could rule the roost there and dictate a GM hire he likes, but other than that and the Florida sun I see no upside to it. Rough QB situation with Tua’s contract likely to be cut for $40M+ in dead cap, no obvious viewline to a replacement QB unless they overpay for Malik Willis or something. There are better situations for Harbaugh to drop into and he can probably get many GM’s fired if he doesn’t like them but likes the situation (like a Schoen for instance)

I’d be into it because I’d be into McDaniels coming available as an OC candidate with intimate connections to Quinn. I know people are skeptical of him but he has that Shanahan running game with explosives down pat, and our OL would be an upgrade for his scheme. He also made Tua functional for years after his confidence had been destroyed, even when he started losing mobility and arm strength and was a fancy Colt McCoy popgun arm with a scrambled egg brain. He’d do cartwheels designing explosive plays breaking open for Daniels downfield

If they ended up with McDonald as OC and he fired well with Jayden, would he become a valid HC candidate in 2027? It would suck to bring in a new OC that could leave after one year. I think that is what keeps sticking in my head with a lot of the OC options being bantered.

It was tough for McDaniel to get a HC opportunity, despite lots of interviews, at the height of the Shanahan assistant craze because of his personality and demeanor and weirdness. I think it’s possible he has to wait a while for another opportunity if he loses this one. But who knows

You mean McDaniel right?

I think if Miami lets him go, he's unlikely to be a HC candidate again or at least not quickly. I pay a lot of attention to the media there because its part of my work and follow South Florida sports too and in short McDaniel is seen there as a cool guy, players like him, but plenty of narratives that he's not a natural leader of men and might not be a HC but is more of a game strategist OC.

I agree with Conn not sure Miami is the best place to go to if I were in Harbaugh shoes. But if he went there, and McDaniels became free it will be a no brainer. And lol it fits the Quinn connection drill, too. They are friends.

The Giants reporters are in their typical obnoxious mode screaming on twitter that NY is by a mile the plum job. I agree that its one of the more attractive ones, maybe the most but not by a mile like they are depicting though some of that is some of their reporters are convinced Dart is the next Aaron Rodgers.

Atanta to me isn't bad. Lot of talent on that roster. Browns not bad if they can figure out a QB.

The NY reporters being obnoxious, no way :ROFLMAO:

It's hard to see Harbaugh in NY with the Mara's and Schoen. The Giants do however offer a good roster to work with

I think Harbaugh could get Schoen fired if that’s the job he wanted, and bring in his own personnel guy. Like what Coen did before agreeing to take the Jax job last year. Coen had less leverage and had to actually tell them no, and agree on a contract adjustment with Tampa, to make it clear he was serious. Then the cogs started moving and Baalke disappeared. Harbaugh is Harbaugh.
