Yeah you got there by the end of your post and beat me to it, that’s why I didn’t value Kliff’s version of the no huddle very highly. Because like Sean Payton, he substitutes personnel constantly and neuters many of the advantages you’re “supposed” to receive running hurry-up.
As KDawg has explained many times, no huddle and hurry-up are different and don’t have to overlap. I don’t like Kliff’s version very much and think it basically just messed up the operation of the offense causing lots of penalties while defenses were still able to sub to match us, not getting “caught” in bad personnel, and not snapping the ball until almost the end of the play clock after all that, which makes it easier to jump the snap.
