I BELIEVE i heard somewhere, and it may have been Logan Paulsen, that Quinn said he interjected too much in Atlanta when he lost Kyle. That he tried to take over the offense and it hurt the team as a result.

Quinn acknowledged that he took on more responsibility after Kyle left.

But let's be honest. Atlanta was up for a couple of years but McKay was uneven in his acquisition of personnel.

The further the team got from that 2015 season Super Bowl the worse the draft picks and free agent signings became.

The fact Raheem Morris would only take the job when McKay was moved out of football operations is telling of where the organization is.

The Desmond Ridder/Taylor Heinicke duo at quarterback is a mirror of what Ron Rivera went to war with here in Washington and we saw the results.

As Matt Ryan got older and started to fade the organization had no second act.

This is what I've been wondering ... will Quinn consider NOT being the defensive playcaller. I'm not the only one kinda side-eyeing that last impression he left in that role in Dallas.

Figure it was a topic of conversation in the interview here: "So Dan. The Green Bay game. WTF?"

Actually, Parsons was one of the players that came up small in that Green Bay game.

From what I have seen there is a pervasive front-running culture in Dallas and as long as things are going well, these guys are humming along singing cumbayah.

As soon as there is adversity or high pressure these guys turn on each other and make excuses and things crumble quickly.

That goes back several coaches, so to me that appears to be a Jerry Jones led problem.

Dallas does seem to draft players that have good talent but they are also a lot of hot dogs in that group as well.

Chase Young would make a great Cowboy

Somehow I feel some fans will only be comfortable if Quinn gets up on stage with ALL of his coaching staff joining him for the introductory press conference

I’m glad you posted that. I shared this with a cowboys fan and he got all butt hurt about it, saying Parsons was just joking and it’s never going to happen. Only a cowboys fan would not get that the whole thing is a joke and would start making arguments about why it wouldn’t happen. The good news is, now I know what I can harass him about for the rest of the offseason.

I don’t hate it but my immediate reaction was that in an ice cream shop filled with 31 flavors…they decided on vanilla.

Now there is nothing inherently bad about vanilla. It’s a safe and reliable choice. But, it’s never going to make one’s toes tingle.

Josh McDaniels, Brandon Staley, Matt Nagy and a number of others were 'sexy' hires in the past and flamed out as guys that reached above their level of competency.

With the size of the rebuilding job here it appears that scared off Johnson and perhaps Slowik as well although I doubt Slowik was Washington's first choice.
