Confirmed Signings

how can the saints release reggie bush and then turn around and sign someone smaller than him? he said he would have restructured his deal.

logic at its finest.

They traded Bush. Wanted more money I think, and hasn't exactly lit it up in NOLA.

I've seen reports that Brunell was released to open money for the corner. Jets supposedly will resign him later.

Kyle Orton to Miami trade is dead. Dolphins sign Matt Moore to two year deal.

Matt Moore is a scrub.

For a #3 pick the Redskins should contact Denver and see if we can pry Orton loose.

Recall that Seattle and Miami gave up more in the past for guys with no real experience like Whitehurst and AJ Feeley.

Overall I am glad we are accumulating picks but a chance to acquire a 28 year old with 6 years experience at the most critical position on the field to me is a potential exception.

I hope the Cowboys break the bank to get him.
That would be a mistake IMHO. If the Pukes get Ashomugha I think there's a good chance they could win a SB in the next couple of years. As it stands, their defensive backfield is one of their most glaring weaknesses. As much as I'd like to see them crippled by the cap over the intermediate term, I'd hate to see Jerruh get a SB out of the deal in exchange.

A 4th might do the trick as well. John would gladly help out his old coach, right?

I don't think the rest of the Dallas D is all that awe-inspiring either. IMO they have too many needs to spend a bundle at cb.

Hey, the Redskins picks and players trade just the same as Miami's. Besides its always better to trade a quarterback to the other conference if possible.

That is a bluff from Miami and Denver knows it.

This is my thought as well. Miami is bluffing big time. Matt Moore? He tore a labrum in his throwing shoulder, and he lost his job to Clausen.

I don't see it Yusuf and pretty all of the local media and ex-players agree with me. In fact, the prevailing thought here in Dallas seems to be that getting Ashomugha would be the kiss of death for this team and make sure that it won't win an SB in the next 4-5 years.

I think Jerrah needs a big splashy signing to feel good about his GM.

Donte Stallworth is having a great practice. Beck and Gaffney hooked up for a beauty earlier in the practice session. Robert Henson looking great on defense. Beck had a magnificent bomb to Armstrong, a perfect throw, but it was dropped.

Redskins have about $3 million in dead cap for 2011. $0.00 dead cap for 2012.

Orakpo talked with Vince Young, but Young has his heart set on Philly. So yes, the Redskins are/were interested.

The league sent an email to PFT after McGahee was announced as going to the Broncos and it reads as follows...

“Notwithstanding a media announcement by a club regarding the termination or waiver request of one of its players, another club cannot contact such player or his agent prior to the player appearing on a personnel notice as a termination. A club that violates this rule is guilty of tampering and subject to discipline by the Commissioner. A player is not officially terminated from his contract until such notification appears on the Personnel Notice.”

Specific teams mentioned are the Eagles, Bears, and Broncos.

The Vince Young thing may not be over yet. If we put in a claim for him, and if no one else above the 'Skins does the same, then he would be here and not in Philly.

This could get interesting - if we are truly interested in VY.

We would be happy to waive our claim or trade Young to the Eagles....in return for that #2 pick we lost on McNabb :)

Good news on Hankerson - heat related thing and he is fine.

You can now exhale.

Young was playing FB today and Big Mike was playing TE. Interesting.
