I have been around for a very long time, but I have never had such a strong sense of impending doom.
Not about the team crapping the bed once again; I think all of us are more than used to that by now.
I am genuinely worried about the effects on JD5's longterm physical and mental health playing behind this OL, particularly with the early season meat-grinder of a schedule.
Part of me really wants to see this happen:
1. Put JD5 on season-long IR with a non career-threatening "injury" now
2. Let the Greek Cannon (upgraded from rifle) start all year to ascertain his potential ( if any) and maximize draft position
3. Do whatever it takes to get J. Smith (2 FRPs may do it) in the draft
4. Use all other draft capital and FA resources on OL and secondary
5. Start the 2027 season from a position of strength
I understand the frustration, but this would be an epic level of panicking LOL
