Is this legal to have same QB and OC in back to back seasons, who knew?

Hoculli is awarding Kliff to the Saints because the Redski.... er.... Commodores committed a palpably unfair act.

Keeping Kliff is HUGE. And I don't blame Kliff. Dude saw what Quinn got to work with and was like "man I do NOT want to go to some broke team without a QB."

yeah, the good thing is they have a solid bench in-house to choose from. Aside from Johnson, there's Lynn, Pritchard, Blough, etc. And even beyond that - if they had to go outside for whatever reason, bright, hungry offensive minds would want to work with JD5 and for Quinn.

I'm guessing Brian Johnson would be elevated to OC and then everyone gets bumped up a spot. Pritchard to Pass Game Coordinator; Blough to QB Coach. Lynn sorry to say seems to be at his ceiling on this staff and would need to leave if he wants an OC or HC job. Don't think he's on promotion track here but I could be wrong.

@everybody Hi all,

I normally don't ask, but would love to send this invite far and wide. If you are on Bluesky can you please retweet? Thanks.

So, what do we think about me making ref-based Bluesky posts?
I know I’m late to this and a bunch of posts might already exist.

I wouldn’t post too much about the refs. It comes off as excuse making and whining. Were the refs bad? Yes. Should they do better? Yes. Is all the officiating in the NFL basically trash? Yes.

I’d prefer to complain about officiating either after winning or at least not getting blown out because the team turned the ball over 3 times (4th in garbage time).

To paraphrase Sean Connery in “The Rock” - Losers whine about officiating. Winners go home a fuck the prom Queen.”

My $.02. But im pretty much on record saying officiating is terrible, and generally evens out over time. I certainly don’t think there was any conspiracy from the NFL. Daniels and the Commanders were the biggest draw and money maker for the league. All things being equal, they’d want the commanders in the SB. Because they’d want the story of Mahomes vs . Daniels, rejuvenated franchise, popular upstart team, etc.

The refs are just bad. Shrug.

Yeah, I agree.

If there’s a re screw job in the SB it might be talking about. OTOH, a tef reel of obvious bull calls with a good comical soundtrack could be fun.

I’m too lazy to put it together though )or don’t have the raw content)

That would be GREAT.

I like the gist, but don't wholly agree with this.

I think Peters is just saying, at the beginning of every season, a team has to start at 0 - 0 and then prove itself.
We don't get credit next season for our Championship appearance, this season.

Doesn't mean you take a wrecking balll to the roster, and don't build on things from this season.

I think my unease with th statement has to do with Rivera. Often, at the end of the season, I thought the team was getting better, but at the start of the subsequent season they acted like they had never played together before. All the progress, timing, schematic familiarity vanished. All the communication problems resurfaced. It was like they had never played together before especially on defense.

So yes, the team's record returns to 0-0, but I want a team that already acts like they've been there and done that. I want them improving from where they ended not backtracking all the way back to day zero.

You should listen to AP in context when he said this in the presser. He was deflecting a question about offseason strategy by regurgitating the usual “everyone’s 0-0” coachspeak. Nothing-burger

He also saw the schedule for next season. He knows that they are going to have a lot to prove. I'd be impressed if they can win 10 games and get the 7th seed.
