So ive been watching over the cap .com to watch how contracts are affecting the salary number and Washington's moves - nothing has been updated for days John Bates isn't even shown as resigning and that was days ago. They need to get their act together

The league year didn’t start until about 4 hours ago. There’s no way they’re updating that data until they have the contract terms which they’re probably just getting now…..for all 32 teams.

Yesterday's free agent pick ups made me think of guys like Tim Settle who was a stalwart at the end of the glory years. Casserly was so good at plucking guys out from that second tier of player talent. I think Adam's has that gene, too.

You might be surprised to learn that Tim Settle was ranked 7th in ESPN’s 2024 DT Run Stop Win Rate… I know I was surprised anyway!

I'm not going to panic if we don't add another top tier WR, but I don't see a real #3 on this roster, at least not a proven one. Mccaffery could emerge, ditto Brown or even Osborne. But right now - I think we're still 1 really good WR away. If they re-sign Zaccheus, that will give us a serviceable group. We need Kupp, or Elijah Moore, or Zaccheus... imho...

I think you are right, Boone but OTOH Brown was actually a pretty servicable #2 for most of the year. His toughness as a receiver and willingness as a run blocker were big for us until he went down. In fact, it took the offense several weeks to recover from his loss.

Like I said earlier, I'd love to add a speed guy and would be happy if one wound up being BPA in the draft, but I feel okay about this wide receiver group. We have a #1 in McLaurin who is amazing with 50/50 balls, a potentially great YAC guy in Deebo, and Brown is that tough guy possession receiver.

OZ just signed with the Bears. I wanted him back too.

Solid group of WR, but Luke is the only “young” guy. Think the FO may draft a guy a little earlier, if they get the guy they want at their pick. Be nice to have a good, young WR to grow with JD. Someone like Tai Felton, who I think is being undervalued, in the 3rd round area could be a shout. Caught almost 100 balls this year, almost 1200 yds, and 9 TDs. Showed at the combine that he has legit sub 4.4 speed.
