I prefer it this way. Personally, I want to see more of Quinton Gathner to see if he can play a role on this team in 2010. I have been impressed thus far.
I have been critical of his attitude and desire to play much of this season. I was calling for him to be placed on IR just yesterday. Now that it is a reality, I have to admit I am saddened a bit. He has given a lot for this team. If he could have just gone out and done his job without the drama. He is talking to the media like his career might be over. That's a wicked concussion.
If that's the case then perhaps he has a softer head than most. I've seen guys come back and play a couple weeks later after harder hits. Not downplaying his circumstance, because all concussions are potentially serious, but since it's Clinton, I can't help but think he might be playing this up a little bit so he can be like the phoenix rising from the ashes next year.He is talking to the media like his career might be over. That's a wicked concussion.
Which of his 6 years are you counting? If his career is indeed over, I'd like to thank him for the 4 great years he had for us.

My response was tongue-in-cheek (probably should've used an emoticon), since it was an odd way to phrase it. It's like thanking your spouse for 20 great years together when you've been married 25.2008 Washington Redskins 16 16 342 1,487
2007 Washington Redskins 16 16 325 1,262
2005 Washington Redskins 16 16 352 1,516
2004 Washington Redskins 15 15 343 1,315
OK, maybe his 1200 yard season wasn't great, but he was at least VERY solid!
