Man...I was really enjoying his appearances in The Mandalorian.
 
Great talented guy, even more important seemed to be a genuine good dude.
 
Charles ‘Lefty’ Driesell- 92

The foundation for my love of the game of basketball.
 
I’ve been listening to interviews and commentary on Lefty. Sheehan talked about how basketball in the area didn’t exist before him. Maryland was terrible, the Bullets were in Baltimore, and Georgetown was nothing. Think about how big college basketball was in the area from the 70s into the early 2000s. It wasn’t just MD and Georgetown, George Washington and George Mason had success in those as later years as well. Lefty got that all started.

He also started midnight madness when he wanted to be the first team to practice.

The NCAA expanded the tournament field to not just include conference winners because of how good his teams were, but couldn’t get over the tobacco road hurdle in the ACC tournament. It was called the Maryland rule and it changed college basketball. The man was a basketball legend.
 
That's a tough one, even if not unexpected. Mort's stuff was always must read/watch.
 
Louis Gossett Jr.

Probably best known for his Oscar-winning DI performance in 'An Officer and a Gentleman', but I always thought his most amazing performance was in 'Enemy Mine' playing an alien stranded on a barren planet with Dennis Quaid. He was in a ton of movies and TV stuff, hard guy not to like. RIP.
