Ok, I guess I'll make this thread interesting, but tldr is, I didn't die!
Without going into too many details, and boring everyone with an epic novel, I can tell you that she is probably the most amazing woman alive today. i really can't even believe it still. My timing was impeccable. I feel like an asshole for it too.
We've been through a lot together since those pictures were taken. My stage 4 pancreatic cancer at 47yo, among other medical problems.
I'm much older than her, I thought I'd live long enough for us to have a long happy life, then we got married and I was diagnosed and was supposed to die from that shit soon after but she was here for me when most people would have left.
I'm really amazed at her staying with me and being an absolute rock, considering how bad my ex was. Telling my family to fk off and stop asking for shit as if I was already dead, because they said I was going to be dead but she didn't want to hear it and she was right. I lived! She prayed, her entire family prayed, she told everyone she knew to pray, I never believed, but I didn't die, my entire family were coming over to visit to watch me die but I never did. They kept telling me that I was going to die, doctors, family, everybody but she didn't want to hear it and she was right.
How lucky was I to have met her at the right time and how unfortunate for her to have met me when she was 22 and I was 38, but she doesn't see it the way I do. I cry for her missing out on life as a young woman because she is so amazing and she cries even more for me because she thinks that I am too, lol, but to me, she doesn't know what she is missing, but who is correct?
Hopefully your Dominican Gf/wife is as hardcore as this one I found in the Philippines.
