Ovi hatty last night! 13 goals in 17 games at 39 years of age, smfh. Only 29 away. I didn’t think he’d get it this year, but his chances are improving by the day.

Helluva 3 game road trip for the Caps. Beat Avalanche and Golden Knights 5-2 each, then get scored on 3 minutes in tonight, and have responded with 3 of their own in the first so far. Ovi with the third…28 away!

2 more for the Russian machine, but goes off in the third with a leg injury. Hope it’s nothing too serious as he is in awesome form right now. 15 goals, 10 assists in 18 games. Great numbers for anyone, let alone a 39 year old!

Suprised there is not more interest in this thread. The Caps are the highest scoring team in the NHL and have kept up the pace even after losing the greatest goal scorer in the history of the game. I'm not a real hockey guy but I have always watched all the Caps games. Nobody was expecting this, we all figured the window had closed and all that was left was The Chase.

What fun. Can't wait for the new year and we get to watch Ovi again.

Hope you’re watching, tonight’s game is nuts! In NJ, Caps open scoring, then Devils net 2. Caps net 3 pp goals in 2nd to take 4-2 lead into 3rd. Devils bang in 2 early in 3rd to tie, and Caps have come back to grab 2 just 10 seconds apart to go up 6-4. 4:30 left, Devils on pp now.

Shit, Devils score. 6-5 with 3:15 left.

And, they hang on to win. Washington Capitals, best record in the Eastern Conference!
