I liked him too. He played hard, he just couldn’t always get it done when it mattered. He along with Green and Semin are guys who are emblematic of the couldn’t get it done era. It sucks because I liked all those guys. I’m hopeful his return sparks the team, but I don’t think they needed another forward. Better defense and goaltending should have been a priority.

Haven’t watched a game this season but follow standings from afar. What’s different with them compared to the 1st half of season?

This team is damn near bi-polar, some nights they bring it, others they play like they're completely disinterested. The team has definitely aged so I'm "hoping" that the apparent "nights off" is too save their legs for the playoffs, if they don't slide out of contention of course.

I think the OT 'issue' is a spotlight on how Goaltending is going to be paramount going forward. OT rules during the regular season is wide open hockey, a lot more ice to create chances, so if your goaltender is succeptable, it gets identified quickly. Luckily playoff OT rules aren't the same as the regular season

Yes. I think that regular season OT gives a great advantage to young, fast players. Not exactly the Caps strong suit.
