.......But what a game it was!!!!!!!

What we saw yesterday was how effective this team can be when playcalling on both sides of the ball is aggressive and we don't make glaring momentum-changing mistakes. We would have beaten a lot of teams yesterday. And that's saying something given the officiating.

What shocks me is the amount of people discounting this win against the lowly Jags. Do they see our team being THAT superior to the Jags? Really? We haven't been.

Great game, way to pounce on an opportunity for a change. Way to take a crutch and the just put it in someone's ass for a change. I'm not giddy, but I am glad the way this team responded after losing SEVERAL players not just the one everyone likes to talk about.
Agreed. No game is a "gimmie" for us until we prove we can be a consistent winner. Past seasons losses to dregs (at the time we played them) like the Rams, Lions, etc show that we have not arrived. So, it was nice to see the team play well and put a down opponent out of their misery.

-Way was good on kickoffs. I don't know the nuances of how much strain that puts on a punter to do kickoffs for the whole season - but he was good doing it for one game!

If we are scoring points we are not punting!!!

DM and Fear have expressed something that I have been thinking about all day. We beat the daylights out of a team that a good team should simply beat. I no longer expect much from this team but yesterday, I did expect to see us win. We did in a most convincing way. Who cares who the opponent was, you judge your team on their performance and the overall performance was accurately expressed in the score.

btw what we see when we play crappy teams, is what this offence would look like if we had even decent Olinemen. against a crap defence with a poor dline, we look amazing, but its a mirage, if however we had good linemen who could play well against GOOD dlines and defences, then suddenly what we saw on sunday becomes the norm not an anomaly. and the same goes for the D Hatcher looks great but we need need big games from several guys at the same time to be really effective

A ten sack game is an anomaly across the league. Do you think it's reasonable to think the D can generate half of what they did up front yesterday consistently ? This week against Philly should be a great measuring stick, but I really think we're better up front with Baker at nose, and the addition of Hatcher, and teams will stop underestimating our D soon enough.

And once we get some guys back in the rotation like Bowen, we will be even stronger on the interior of that DL.

I'm just glad we don't have to read all the excuses about how T. Williams penalty cost us a TD

Funny story...the guy next to me yelled out: "we're playing like the Berenstain Bears out here!" after that penalty.
