Richardson is very powerful as a straight ahead drive blocker but has never been pushed to get into top flight physical condition to improve his quickness off the ball in pass pro and durability to play 4 even quarters as a starter.
Seems Callahan might be able to apply the necessary 'boot to ass' to get Richardson to maximize his preparation and technique.
We keep Josh LeRibeus on the roster and he is never going to be a power blocking wonder at guard and he doesn't have the skills to beat out Kory Lichtensteiger at center.
So, he's basically a half full glass that doesn't seem destined after 3 years to be any more than that.
I think we need to move on from him and bring in guys that with some coaching and being put in the proper strength and conditioning programs project to having a higher upside.
