Burner's Burning Questions: Offseason Edition, Free Agency 2014

Rogers and Bailey reunited lol

Bring back Smoot, Green, Bowen, and Peion, too

I'm going to have nightmares for reading this before bed.

Though I'll take Green. Bet he's still fast and smarter than half our roster.

Did Rogers and Champ play together in DC? I want to say Rogers was drafted a full year after Champ was traded, but I could definitely be misremembering.

i think they did..

nope :( bailey left after the 03 season rogers was drafted in the 2005 draft.

Why? Didn't we just cut Josh Morgan?

Roberts >>>>> Morgan, Henry. First and foremost, he's durable. Secondly, he can play slot or outside, so he's more versatile. Finally, he returned kicks for Arizona, adding to the versatility. He had over 750 yards and 5TDs that season the cardinals had like 4 different, awful QBs (including at least one UDFA, maybe two). Sounds more like Garçon than Morgan. :)

I think it was Tandler who said the skins have no interest in Britt, but I can't remember where I read that.

I was at the Fan Captains meeting at Redskins Park last night, Allen addressed the group and said not to expect any huge dollar signings. They are looking for value to add a larger number of players to the roster.

I'm excited about Andre. As I posted in another thread, his situation compares favorably with Garçon in Indy. Terrible QBs (4 of them!) but he still managed 750 yards and 5TDs. And that was with playing opposite Larry Fitzgerald.

That would be much appreciated.

Though I should stop being an idiot and start paying attention to my email.

I missed my VIP passes to training camp in richmond last offseason because of that.

I seem to recently recall railing on people that don't learn from their mistakes. I should go beat my head on the wall for this one. I would have loved the park tour, and they always have great food at these events, and meeting people is always fun.

if you barely have highlights....MONTAGE!!

hahaha...he has some good plays though.

Heh, yeah, I think they showed one of those plays about 6 times in slow motion. But hey, he scored on the Cowpukes to end it, that's a win in my book!

If the Redskins sign character issue guys like Kenny Britt I will be very disappointed.

This team won when we had a core of quality guys that worked hard.

I don't mind gambling a bit for value but I would rather gamble on a guy with past injury problems or a guy that is over 30 as opposed to a guy with a nickel plated head like Britt.

Garcon improved every season until he was on the cusp of 1000 yards no matter who was throwing the ball. Roberts's numbers compare much more closely to Morgan, who plateaued at 700 yards receiving, with Alex and Troy Smith throwing the ball to him in Singletary's offense, before losing his starting job and dropping off. In Morgan's case it was injury. Why did Roberts lose his job?

Sorry, looks like we signed someone else's #3 to be our #2 ... again.

Well we signed Indy's #2 receiver to be our #1 and that seems to have worked out for us.

Sometimes teams go a different direction... Arizona drafted Floyd, and liked him better. They have Fitzgerald, who obviously is better. I'm sure they'd like to keep all three, but it's a numbers game.

Give him a chance, Henry. He's yet to suit up, and already being declared Josh Morgan?
