Burner's Burning Questions: Free Agency, The Mock Drafts, 2017 (Continual Updates)

The Browns have $100 million in cap space.

4 years, $32.5 million? I think if we'd offered that, Redskins Nation would have blown whatever gasket it has left.

Don't let facts color your perspective Skins fans.

Browns got bunch of draft picks, assume his salary, then will trade or release him. With $100 million in cap space need to use a lot of it up due to CBA rules.

Smart maneuver on their part.

You are the expert. What is the grade on this one? I saw it was 5 yrs 25 mil.

I'm no expert, but...

The two DL signed so far is for depth purposes only. That contract is too much, imho.

Also, Terrelle Pryor is coming in for a visit tonight.

The draft has suddenly gone from major import on my calendar to a non-event.

Can't you just see those picks going down the tubes on average players that were all taken earlier than they should have been?

Also being reported that Baker commented that the Skins never made him an offer.

I am no anxious for the regular season so we can get all this anxiety out of the way and just watch a damn football game.

Swearinger had a rough start but he is only 25 and had a pretty solid comeback season in Arizona last year.

Former Bucs GM Mark Dominik could be on the Redskins radar.

My thought: This could be the real, true reason...

This one I dont get at all. Baker was our only decent lineman. Par for the course this offseason

Yeah, I don't get that either. This tells me they want to rebuild the entire line. You obviously can't do that in one year, but I guess if you just choose not to re-sign guys, you rebuild it over time. I still think he is a guy they should have kept. The contract he got was better than the others they signed.

Baker was absent at times for certain plays. Took plays off for no apparent reason. Was sub-par at other times. Sure, played well at times. This is the reality of it.

I've always loved Baker, but we need more up front then what he could give. With the upgraded receiver corps of the Giants, and the way Dak and the pukes played, we need a dominant pass rush if we want a fighting chance in these games. A legit nose has been a need for some time now as you know, and I'm guessing we have some big nasty bastards we'll target in the draft....... I'm praying :)
