Burner's Burning Questions: Free Agency, The Mock Drafts, 2017 (Continual Updates)

The Redskins have met with the following
players this week at the Senior Bowl:

Forrest Lamp, G, Western Kentucky
Ryan Glasgow, DT, Michigan
Brendan Langley, CB, Lamar
Josh Reynolds, WR, Texas A&M
Marquez White, CB, Florida St.
Ben Gedeon, ILB, Michigan
Tarell Basham, DE/OLB, Ohio
Zach Banner, OT/G, Southern Cal

Seems they hit everything except safety. Mcluvs using his sorcery as a diversion and grab one at 17 maybe?

Maybe they are leaning towards a FA? There's a couple of good ones this year.

If you want to see what draft mockers do each day, then start with watching/studying the Senior Bowl today. To make it Redskins-centric, focus on defensive line, free safety, inside linebacker, left guard, running back, and wide receiver.

Replacement for DeSean ?

Not sayin' it's a bad idea but I don't see the Skins going after a 1st round WR 2 years in a row. How's about Dede Westbrook, Oklahoma Height: 6-0. Weight: 175. A little on the thin side but 74 receptions for 1,465 yards (19 yard average) with 16 touchdowns. He could slide down a way's in the draft.

Not a DeSean replacement but a guy they could get a little deeper - Corey Davis, Height: 6-3. Weight: 205. He's got the size Scot covets and fits WC offense to a T. He may not make it out of the second though.

So if OJ Howard is available at 17, do ya take him ?

Do ya make a trade with GB there? They aren't enamored with Cook & Rodgers isn't a receiving TE.

I don't know why the question of replacing Desean keeps being bandied about, Jamison Crowder can do it.

I agree completely that Crowder can fill DJax's departure. The high pick of wr is probably to replace Garçon IF Mcluvs decides not to ink him.

Anyone notice a complete package guard with a nasty disposition we could nab in the 2nd or 3rd at the latest? A day one starter there would be great.

#8 still doesn't see the whole field consistently. Many a wide open receiver didn't get a look. Including Crowder.

This is always hard to tell from games on TV. I wish I could go to the games. I'd love a PIP option where I could watch the regular broadcast on one half of the TV and just a top down view on the other half.

Agreed. I seem to remember Elephant, who attends games, saying that there were many times guys were wide open, and not seen. For a variety of reasons.
Which includes #8 just not seeing them.

Like it a lot BB.

Only change would be in the 4th. TE Jake Butt instead of the WR.

I remember him saying that. I'd love to be able to compare that sort of thing to other teams/QB's.
