FWIW, In talking to one #Redskins high level source, they said they are not locked in on any one player. Open to multiple guys & trades.

Actually, if people here want Leonard Williams, then we probably want Mariota to go second. That would help push Williams to us.

Right. This has been my thought all along. And we don't care which team takes him at #2 either just as long as he goes. I really think that if TN doesn't take Mariota and doesn't trade the pick it will be because they take Williams.
 
And I believe we'll be picking 5th in that supplemental draft.....
 
The police inquiry has already cost him a lot of money. Even if he's simply questioned and released, he gets screwed because the investigation won't be over for months. The Supplemental Draft might allow him to still get first or second round money. This would really be unfair for him if he's found innocent of any wrongdoing.
 
That's true Jimbo. But he really can't blame anybody. The investigators are just doing their job.
It's just an unfortunate circumstance with unfortunate timing, and the only one he can really blame for his loss of money (assuming he's innocent), is whoever is the "real" shooter. Although, I would imagine he may be a lot more upset at the loss of his pregnant ex-girlfriend, than the loss of 1st Round contract money.

So, of course, the priority in everyone's mind, should be to find who is responsible for such a despicable act. Not the draft status or contract status of a football player.

The closer we get to the start of the draft, the more I think we trade down. At this point, the only players I believe we'd take at #5 are Williams or Fowler.

My nightmare scenario would be if Mariota, Fowler and Williams went 2, 3 and 4. The offers for our pick likely wouldn't be as good.
 
Collins best bet now would be not drafted at all or supplemental draft. If a UDFA he can choose where he goes.

No matter what, it sucks to be La'el Collins right now. Praying he didn't do it but also praying they find out who did....and soon! Sean Taylor, Odin Lloyd....their families had to wait a long time for justice.

Interesting request by La’El Collins to be in the Supplemental Draft. Sources are very pessimistic. Would set a bad precedent.
