Relentless style of play indeed. Trautman's dad, who was a military guy, was asked what other teams needed in order to stop his son and he said "a good supply of body bags."

What I love about him is that he can block and has only been playing the position a couple of seasons. 6’5” 250+ lbs, great hands and tough. My kind of TE. Unfortunately his stock has risen a lot pre-draft and a lot of teams will be after him.

That's why Wilkerson is the guy we need. Played TE, and DE, as a two way guy.
He just needs grooming. Like most late round guys.

Noticed a couple intriguing players on this list with possibles regarding our 3rd round pick. My personal belief is we have to take a LT with no later than our 3rd, but damn this kid is tempting there. Gotta knack for the end zone, as well as taking multiple punts to the House.

I hope we're lucky enough to have a shot at him. I haven't seen him enough to say whether or not he is good enough of a route runner, but the dude can take any ball he touches the distance. I would like us to get a bit of a bigger body opposite McLaurin, but if Aiyuk is the guy we go with, I won't be complaining.

In short...the immediate gameplan for TE is not clear at this point.

The Redskins need to build this over a couple of seasons.

The fact we don’t have a franchise LT or TE shouldn’t detract from our ability to acquire a franchise DE and pass rusher.

We have other picks in 2020 to try and find players at these other positions and 2021 as well.

Anyone thinking we are going to come away with sure fire solutions at all positions in one three day draft is unrealistic.

If this club improves as I expect to the 7-9 range we will be using the 2021 draft to augment what we do here in April and build toward the playoffs in 2022.

At 3-13 the retool or whatever you want to call it is going to take some time.

In my mind the Redskins have a number of promising younger players but only a couple that look to be A level performers compared to peers league wide.

Taking Young and adding an A at the top of the draft seems a good way to start.

LT? It’s an important position but I don’t see Jones, Murray, or the more successful Mahomes or Russell Wilson with killer LTs.

And let’s remember the best OT of this generation Jason Peters a 9 time pro bowler was UNDRAFTED.

OK, first thing I have to ask is why you'd even put Jones on this list. He should not even be compared to the others on that list.

Why? The same reason Haskins shouldn't...because the other 3 you mention have the ability to escape pressure with tremendous quickness, they are elusive. Haskins does not have that same ability. Sure, he's young and has shown he can extend a play...but nothing like Wilson, Mahomes, and Murray...and it's not even up for debate. Those are cold, hard facts.

With their athleticism, they can mask the lesser talent at LT.

I've provided stats, the overwhelming majority of top talent at LT in the NFL was of 1st round picks. Yes, you can find success at any level, but the standard tends to be long term success at LT comes in the 1st round.
