Here's the thing, coming from the perspective of 30 years in healthcare...
Doctors misdiagnose (or fail to diagnose) every minute of every day in every healthcare setting there is. We are ALL responsible for our own health. If Trent was concerned, he had every opportunity and option to get another opinion. I also have to say that these are team physicians. They are not tasked with managing every aspect of a players health. If TW were having erectile dysfunction or depression or hearing loss - would anyone reasonably expect the medical staff contracted by a football team to manage those things? I'm not even sure I would trust a general practitioner out in the public sphere to 'diagnose' what I felt to be a tumor or growth. The truth is, something like that would have to be biopsied in order to have any idea if it were a cyst or a tumor of some kind. It's not something a general physician would be particularly savvy in even addressing.
If Trent were worried about it - he should have sought a specialist. Honestly - if this is really what his gripe is, he's either not the sharpest tool in the shed, or his expectations are ridiculous. You're a grown man. If you were worried about your health, you could and should have done something about it. You're not a 12 year old.

Boone, I don't think this is about the actual diagnosis. It seems like this is more about an accumulation of issues with the training staff and medical team. The pre-cancer diagnosis seemed to be the tipping point. 50 players in two years to IR could be coincidental - or there could be something to it.
