He's really, really talented. If he's the guy, there will be things to be very excited about. I think I'm ultimately hoping for Maye but ....

I just keep hearing "We can teach him to slide/not run into danger" over and over. Don't want to go through that again.
 
I’m not sure if this has been discussed and I apologize if it has. But did anyone else find the draft to be obnoxiously long?? Four hours for 32 pics? It’s turned into a complete shit show
 
Yes. I think there were a lot of unnecessary delays between ‘the pick is in’ and Goodell announcing them.
 
The NFL has to appease the money-people who bought advertising time on the major sports networks.

Can't have an event scheduled for over 3.5 hours end after just 2 now can we?
 
Yes, it’s way too long. But it’s not as long as it could be. Just by the math, it could take over 5 hours if teams took their maximum time on each pick. However, they need to tighten it up. The first pick should be announced at 8:05. We aren’t getting around the intros, so they can keep that. But have the first pick announced at 8:05 since they had 4 months to decide. The second pick should be on the clock before that, maybe 8:00. Keep this thing moving. Also, when a trade is made, the clock needs to go to 5 minutes not 10. The team trading knows who they want. That pick should take seconds. Cleaning up a few minutes here and there may not seem like much, but just like in baseball, you may see a much smoother experience.
 
And of course the NFL has to trot out the kids and minority groups the league is co-sponsoring in their events to show how community minded they are :rolleyes:

So, the NFL gives $100,000 to these efforts and makes $50B.

Very generous.
