BGO March Madness Challenge

Wow, I went from near the bottom to 3rd. At least all my final four picks are still alive.

It's official. Neo knows nothing about no basketball.

Know how you feel. Back to 10th and this last game of the weekend is a close one.

A few minutes ago, my bracket was in the middle of the ocean and was supported by a couple wooden boards. Florida St. smashed one of them and now it is one board remaining, but it is heavily water-logged.

From the Super 68, the Sensational 64, the Thirsty 32, and now to the Sweet 16 - this tourney has been an amazing thing to watch. A 13th seed, an 11th seed, a 10th seed, a 7th seed, and a sixth seed are in the Sweet 16.

On to the next round and more brackets being blown to bits. :)

I'm just saying, only one of us picked BOTH 15-2 upsets...

EDIT: Effing Georgetown, I should have KNOWN they would crap the bed.

After the first weekend of one of the more wild Tournaments in recent memory, China leads the pack with 45 points, and an impressive 165 possible points remaining. CarolinaSkins and Mrs. Goaldeje round out the top three, with 44 points each, and 148 and 132 possible points remaining, respectively.

Skins Orlando might the player with the best shot to topple China, as he has 167 possible points remaining, highest of anyone playing. Who has the lowest point possible remaining, you might ask? That's not really that important, is it? Why would you ask that, really?

 fine, it's me. Your humble(d) commissioner has only 120 possible points remaining. So, yeah.

China has 6 of his Elite Eight teams, and all Final Four teams remaining. CarolinaSkins has 4 Elite Eight, and three Final Four teams, while Mrs. Goaldeje has 6 Elite Eight and 2 Final Four teams left.

SkinsOrlando has an impressive 7 Elite Eight teams and all Final Four teams remaining. He may be the player to watch, along with China.

Hope everyone is having fun. Remember, it's all fun and games until someone pokes an eye out. Then it's just fun.

I have a blind spot for Georgetown, don't know why. I pick them to go further than they go just about every year.

I'm glad Georgetown lost. I've been looking forward to a rematch with Kansas since the beatdown they gave the Tarheels a few years ago, and I felt Georgetown was the only team left in the way of that happening. Now UNC and KU have a cakewalk until they face each other in the elite 8. Where Carolina will get their revenge :D

I'm so bad at this my bracket just posted another couple of losses today and no one is even playing. :(

I'd just like to do one thing for my bracket...

:ciao:

Well, two things...

:rotflmao:

I really expected MSU to go further. Oh well.

But that happens all the time right? The "total domination" I mean. ;)

I'm actualy still in this. Sitting at #7 yeah, but total possible points I'm still alive. I've got 2 of 4 brackets perfect, both final teams alive. I'm not sure Carolina can continue to win - they should've lost last night.

Good luck the rest of the way everyone

Still had a chance - then Syracuse lost and that took me out of it. Still hoping to get a top ten finish.

I'm gonna be really pissed if Harrison Barnes breaks his promise and stays another year like he did last year. Most overrated player in the country 2 years running. I will be so glad to see him go.

I will try to do a more complete write up later, but for now, with the final game left, it looks like China or Jimbo will walk away with the crown this year. They have both picked Kentucky, so the tiebreaker of closest score will actually come into play.

More to come! (hopefully)
