Missouri just destroyed any hope I had of coming back in this game. I had them in the final four. That's several losses right there. Unreal. :rotflmao:
 
My guess is it isn't that bad, Boone. Most of us likely picked Missouri into at least the Elite Eight if not the Final Four (like I did).
 
The right half of my bracket looks beautiful. Then you look at the left half and see RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED lol.

.....but the fact that picking Norfolk St helped me to continue killing it on my money bracket, well that eases the pain of this horrible one. Still only 1 loss on ESPN :D

Michigan, Memphis, Duke, St. Mary's just killed me in the last four games. I'm hoping to break .500 for the tourney. :)

Actually, my new goal is to finish at the bottom! :anonymous: :)
 
My brackets are destroyed, but I swear I love this tournament.

Oh, and by the way, BCS? Yeah, I totally get why you wouldn't want to adopt this kind of tournament format. Why make things exciting? Good call.
 
More losses late last night for my bracket. On my way to a last place finish! Beat that suckas! :)

After Round 1, Boone is leading the way with 25 of 32 picks correct, 7 out of 8 Elite Teams left, and 3 out of 4 Final Four teams left.

In a shocker, Mrs. Goaldeje (I say shocker because she really does subscribe to the dart board theory of picking winners) is in second place, but with only 6 of her Elite Eight teams left, 2 of her Final Four teams left, and 1 of the two Finalists left, it seems unlikely she will hold that spot.

4 teams are tied for third, only two picks behind Boone: Lanky, China, LSF and Oriawa.

With point values now doubling for Round 2*, this is still anyone's bracket**!

*I know, I know. The NCAA would prefer I refer to Saturday and Sunday's games as Round 3 because of the play in games. Whatever. Stupid. Won't do it.

**anyone except Mrs Goaldeje because of her Duke and Missouri picks. Yes, I am jealous she is beating me after Round One. She'll never read this. Deal with it.

So effing glad I'm not the only one. I hate it, play-in games do not count as a round.
 
They have a saying in Scotland for my bracket at the moment - "Fooked, right and proper!"
 
Hey Goal...I don't see any 'scoring' explanations on the site. Thought it was a 'one win, one point' deal' but obviously not. Where can we find the scoring details?
 
John, according to what my count, you get one point for the first round, two points for the second round, etc. You got 25 games right in the first round, hence your score.

Are y seeing something different?
 
No - and I don't care - I'm just curious how the scoring works since this is the first time i've played online.

I just can't comprehend how a 4 seed beating a 5 seed is a stunner. Did they come back from a 40 point deficit or something?

The Vandy loss probably finishes me - I had them going all the way to the Final Four. Good luck everybody...
 
I've scored the most points today and that destroys my chances of finishing last. Can't win for winning and can't win for losing. :laugh2:
 
If it makes you feel any better, I've had last place locked up from the first step :)

On second thought, 6 of my final 8 and all of my final 4 are still in. I might finish second to last.
 
Tied for 3rd place now. Such are the fortunes of this tourney. Well, back to cheering for my bracket and wins I guess. :juggle:
 
New Mexico dang near made me 8 for 8 on the day. Started the day in 12th, went to 3rd, back to 7th now. Kinda feel like a yo-yo. :D
