As bad as Forbes has been, what is just as concerning is the fact that Michael Davis I believe played zero snaps on Sunday. We are in a whole heap of trouble on the back end of that defense, so I wouldn't be surprised if guys on New York find ways to have career days on Sunday, because that is traditionally what we do.
Defensively, I worry about New York's guys up front. Between Lawrence, Thibodeaux, and Burns, there is enough there to cause some trouble for Daniels. At the very least, I think there will be a very concerted effort by NY to not allow him to burn them with his legs and get outside. Let's face it, outside of Daniels creating with his feet on Sunday, there was no pop, rhythm, or clear plan offensively vs. the Bucs. If they take away that element offensively, can we make up for it in other ways? The short answer - Sunday certainly didn't instill much confidence that we can.
Dating back to last season, we are on a nine game losing streak and have lost six straight in the NFC East. Given the weaknesses and holes on the team, and the newness of it all, I don't see how we defeat NY.
Sunday is better visually, but not enough to claim victory.
