Around the NFL - Gameday Discussion thread

I'll be kinda pissed if the Bills blow this game.

Not a fan, just tired of the KC BS.

49ers blew their game. Looks like they just aren't the same team anymore. Then soon they will have to pay Purdy.

Allen with a huge run in 4th

I just saw Bo Nixs stats, Daniels better watch out. He might steal the rookie of the year from him.
Nah, JD has been way more consistent on a team that has been terrible for years. He's virtually the single reason why we're 7-4.

Bills keep the chefs from going undefeated.

I was happy to see the Steelers beat the Ravens. As a Marylander, I’d like to be able to be happy for the Ravens success against everyone but the Commanders, but some of their douchebag fans make that impossible.

Chargers pounding the Bengals.

Burrow can't do a thing in the playoffs if they don't even make it. Looking like 4-7.

Burrow is probably going to be like Carson Palmer in a few years, wanting to get out of Cincy because they don't know how to build a team.

Now it's starting to look like the Chargers are still gonna Charger, even with Harbaugh at coach.

Bengals might tie the game and the 4th just started.

I really dislike Jim Harbaugh.

Bengals really should be better than 4-6.

Burrow is a top 5 QB in the league.

I really think Zach Taylor is Jay Gruden. The difference is Burrow is great and lifting a mediocre to bad coach to something better.

If they collapse, Bengals should hire Belichick.:p

I'm confused. Burrow's interception got called back for a roughing the passer?

Zach Taylor is Jay Gruden. Teams play with a lack of discipline and bad things happen to them.

Burrow is as good as anybody and bails Taylor’s dumb ass out.

Yes. Roughing the passer erases the play. So does any defensive penalty.

Herbert's last pass shows why he is just not an elite QB.

He folds in crunch time. No pressure, wide open WR, and he floats it over his head.

I don't remember when that change happened. I thought personal fouls were tacked on after a play.

It depends on when the personal foul occurs, if it's during the play then no but if it's after the play has ended then it doesn't change the outcome of the play.
It does however lead to what is quite possibly the dumbest rule in pro football.
If an offense commits a personal foul after picking up a first down they move the ball back 15 yards and it's first and ten if they commit the same penalty on any other down they move ball back 15 yards and it's 15 plus whatever they were already up against distance wise.
If I were a coach I'd tell my offensive players, if you're gonna smack somebody in the head make sure it's just after we get a first down, lol.

I think there are 2 different types of personal fouls, there is "After the play was over, Personal Foul, unnecessary roughness" (for example) and there is a personal foul which happens during the play.

The 2 personal fouls I can think of which happen during the play most often are roughing the passer and facemask. Both of which result in a first down and 15 yards. I THINK, if there is a positive play (offense gains 10 years), the 15 yards are added to the end of the play. So they can be a real whammy.
