I don't believe any game is a gimmie yet. I don't think we've reached that point.

No team can be taken for granted.

No NFL game is ever a gimmie. I mean, it's just a term that was invented to make people look stupid.

Nuts to that. We're a good team and we need to beat those teams. The Cowboys are reeling and spiraling the bowl. Titans are just a bad team that lacks the talent or coaching to beat us.

It's not like the Browns beating the Steelers. The Browns are a talented team riding moral victories. Those are the kind of teams that worry me. It's like the Saints and why they worry me.

These are two games that losing is inexcusable. If we're thinking playoffs, we beat these teams badly.

Also, a team of scabs beat a mostly “real” Cowboys team.

You literally never know what’s going to happen. “That’s why they play the games.”

We should throttle Dallas. It’s set up for that. But they’re going to throw the kitchen sink at us and hope to get lucky.

I am desperately trying to not get pulled into a Vegas debate.

But I think both of you are right: they need to be close, but the real aim is getting the same amount of betting on both sides. Vegas does not love having a lot more money on one side, which is why lines change.

And betting, for most, is more emotional than analytical.

That said, a 10.5 point favorite, that means Vegas has to make it REALLY enticing to take the other side. So they definitely think most people think we’re going to win big.

Btw, Chris every time I see Shaken not stirred I think of a quote from the west wing. Pres. Bartlet throwing truth bombs:

The point that I'm making has nothing really to do with the odds. It's about being an obvious favorite.

I know that this battered fanbase hasn't had any confidence in a long time, but we use to and it's nice to start getting back to that. We're beating the teams that we should and hanging with, albeit losing to mostly, the better teams.
