5th Annual BGO "On The Clock" Commanders Draft Pool - 2025 WINNER: BAINESDC

Standings after Round 2 of the NFL Draft can be accessed by taking a look at the attached file. It will literally be anybody's contest to win up until the 7th round.

I am so kicking myself for taking Trey Amos off my draft card...I had him as my first round pick for the longest time and changed it a couple days before the draft. I know, "cry me a river, CH."

Good luck to everyone moving into Day 3!

Final standings for the BGO "On The Clock" Mock Draft Pool:

1st: bainesdc (17 pts)
T-2nd: peanut0862 & SmiffySkins (14 pts)
T-3rd: skinsinparadise & KillBill26 (9 pts)

Congratulations to bainesdc who consistently piled up points throughout the draft and eventually hit on the Jacory Croskey-Merritt draft choice by the Commanders! He is our 2025 winner!

It was a really exciting battle that came down to the final round. The selection of Jacory Croskey-Merritt helped bainesdc, peanut0862, and SmiffySkins leapfrog a whole bunch of people in this year's pool, as each of these contestants identified that the Commanders would select him this year. Croskey-Merritt was the only Commanders draft choice in 2025 that any contestant was able to hit on, proving just how difficult this pool is year in and year out.

My full breakdown of everyone's score/points total and results can be found in the attached document. If there are any questions or concerns in regards to your score, please let me know. Great job everyone and please play again next year and spread the word about our pool which has grown each year. Thank you for making this year's pool our biggest group of contestants yet!

bainesdc - I will reach out to you via PM for information related to your first place prize.

Time to start studying for 2026!

lol, live and learn. I should have picked Croskey-Merritt, i am an idiot, I've posted about him on and off for a month and change and been pushing for him today since the 4th round.

Congrats bainesdc

I hear you, skinsinparadise. I had Trey Amos as my first rounder for the longest time in my entry and then listened to far too many podcasts and changed my draft card two days before the draft.

I pumped Amos' and Conerly's tires in the lead up to the draft BGO podcasts and for whatever reason, left them both off. Go figure.

One other thing I wanted to mention before we close the book on the 2025 Draft Pool...

I am always open to new ideas and suggestions for improvement. Feel free to share any ideas you may have.

Next year, I am thinking that it would be cool to add bonus points for identifying a UDFA that we bring in. Or, possibly subtracting points from our total's if any of our selections go undrafted...

Let's hear what you all think to make our draft pool bigger and better every year!

lol, yeah its funny, ironic. On Conerly, they seemed all over him with meetings, etc. But as draft day approached, I somewhat lost sight of him. Love the pick though. Amos was a great pick, too.

Croskey-Merritt in the 7th round is obscure. I've been on him for over a month and also today but didn't have the foresight to pick him in advance. But also love the pick.

That is an absolutely amazing stat. With all of the draft card combinations submitted, only ONE draftee was correct, regardless of round. Wow. What a difference a year makes. Last year at #2, I think 95%+ would have one of the Maye/ Daniels names selected. Picking late in the draft and having fewer selections certainly made this years contest a doozy. Congrats to bainesDC for the win, and Thanks to CH for adding this bit of fun to the board.

I think it would be cool/fun to have additional points for someones "Stand on the table" guy (category not applied to 1st round however.) A player that a contestant is so certain that they are a true "Commander" that said player will be selected sometime in the draft after Round 1. So even if multiple contestants guessed JCM, whoever also called them their (Stand on the table guy" would have earned additional 3 points.
