4th Annual BGO Ballers Fantasy Football League

And Petersen hasn't exactly been a monster this season. He is only 8th in standard scoring and right now, with his game for the weekend outstanding, he is my RB2 behind Bush. Granted, he has had his bye already and gets the Giants tonight where he could put up a big number but so far, my best RB pickup during the draft is Moreno, who I traded to Boone.

Short a miracle night by Victor Cruz tonight, I should out point #1 to finally move above .500

Last night and tonight is why I love Fantasy Football....

Last night I'm way behind and Peyton brought me back within reach no thanks to my ridiculous insistence of playing the over rated Denver defense. Tonight I sit at 127.04 to Kel's 133.48 with Hakim Nicks going against Kyle Rudolph.

I could have of course been leading if I played Terrance Williams but he's a friggin Cowboy and I keep hoping that he's another flash in the pan Dallas WR just like every other year.

I watched the live projection go from 79% in my favor to where it sits now... 59% in Kel's. Good luck tonight Kel, you've had a great week -

So...going into last night I needed 13 points to overtake Ax. I have AP facing one of the worst D's in the recent history of this league. I'm thinking epic night. He wets the bed and I come up 6 points short. Wow.

Nice match, Ax.

Pure luck, my friend.

2 RB's = 2 points

While J. Rodgers got 18.2, sittin' on his ass.

We're both only 1 game out of 1st. :)

I've scored 879 pts this year so far... Next best is almost 100 points less than me. I'm 4-3 . Guy in first place has scored 699?

Shamockery.

  • All three of the losses for Goo Fudge Yourself this season have come when their opponent scores higher than their season average.
  • Goo Fudge Yourself got a combined 63.10 points from their WRs, the highest combined scoring output from the WR position for any team this season.
  • Goo Fudge Yourself would be 75-16 if they played every team every week.
  • If Kel Varnsen had played every team in the league each week, they would be 41-50.
  • If they played the same schedule as Goo Fudge Yourself, Kel Varnsen would be 2-4.
  • Kel Varnsen would be 2-5 if they played Goo Fudge Yourself every week.

That would be me :)

In all seriousness, I've received the good fortune of playing teams who have had bad weeks several times this year. Coming into this past week, I had given up the least points against. I haven't had to score a lot of points most weeks to win, but I'll take it, seeing that I picked 12th out of 14. Last year, I often went over 100 points plus and seemed to face teams that did even better, so it seems to be evening out.

With that being said, I'm completely screwed this coming week. Sam Bradford is out for the year and I'm scrambling for a QB, Arian Foster and Matt Forte are on byes (my two RBs). Danny Amendola is out, T.Y. Hilton is on a bye, Keenan Allen is on a bye. 5 of my starters from a week ago are out of my lineup. I might not have enough players to field an entire team this week.

The joys of fantasy...

I've got Roethlisberger as an extra QB. Make me an offer if you're interested.

Hey Boone,

Congrats on your victory this weekend against me - well done!

I was confident that I'd be able to pull it out the way things were progressing Sunday afternoon. Foster leaving the Texans game with an injury didn't help. I thought that between Hilton playing in the Sunday nighter and Cruz going against the dreadful Vikings, that I'd be able to accumulate the 23 points or so that I needed. Clearly, both guys tanked it.

I saw on the league page that you have Ben available. I've got a few waiver claims on the go and I want to see what transpires with them. Hopefully they'll be enough to at least let me field a team this Sunday. If my claims don't work out, I might try to put together a deal for Big Ben. It's funny, because even some of the QBs I wanted to acquire due to the Bradford injury are off on byes. Everywhere I turn, guys are off on byes.

With all this being said, I'd gladly take a loss this weekend. I believe I play Henry and he has Robert, Pierre, and Roy on his team. I hope he beats me 400 to 8. :) HTTR!

My team is so bad...no clue how I ended up 3-4. Funny how that works...Kevin's team is 1000x better than mine, but we're one game apart.

It isn't a normal year. Only a couple of sure fire stud backs have lived up to the preseason predictions and a couple of late round guys are totally outstripping them.

Part of what makes Fantasy great and frustrating all at the same time.

Gotta fantasy question for you guys....

The league I'm in...my two backs are Alfred and Forte.

Bears are on a bye so I'm down to Ellington-Ariz-vs Atl Or I picked up Hillis-NYG-vs Philly

Who would you go with ?

Giants are gonna ride Hillis hard...I'd go that way

So Brees has so far passed for 256 yards and 4 TDs and Colsten has me 1.8 points.

I give up.

I have him too, in another league. The good news is that he always starts off slowly, then he catches on fire later in the season. But it sure does seem like he's either slowed down, or that Brees hates him for some reason lol.

Don't be too hard on yourself. I benched Jimmy Graham this week.
