4th Annual BGO Ballers Fantasy Football League

The reason there aren't more trades is because everybody who doesn't gain from the trade will protest. It should be commissioner approval required, only. With a designate (mod) to handle conflicts of interest. This is not a money league between total strangers. We shouldn't act like one.

Hey McD5. Maybe you should respond to the actual trade offer if that's what you want to do. We're going to 'vote' on trades now? Just make the call Lanky. I think it's a fairly even trade as Welker will be Mannings favorite target and Bryant's had one great year and is always a risk for injury or other issues.

I'm fine with withdrawing my offer. But this is one of the reasons we don't have a lot of trade activity.

Whoa whoa whoa...ease up, fellas - this is supposed to be fun. I will just go ahead and approve the trade, because its not worth it in a 'for-fun' league.

If your instinct is its not a fair trade don't approve it. It's not a big deal. Probably my Libertarian instincts...I don't like that 2 players can't agree to a deal they both feel its a win-win. I 'get' the rationale for requiring approval, I just don't like it :)

Don't approve it if you don't think it's fair.

I'm fine with approving it. I was just trying to help. I didn't understand the rush to take the first offer with the first game 2 weeks away.

But if you are both happy, then that's what matters.

If you're looking for a way to spice up the trade market... don't be such a noodge. If both players accept the trade as is and there are no evident "ulterior motives" then how can you deny it Little Goodell? Crazy trades happen because not everybody thinks the same.

Ax... Marshawn Lynch is more valuable than Dez Bryant on my team, I already have Calvin Johnson. Would you think Marshawn lynch for Wes Welker was fair? It's all subjective. I didn't have time to look through your team and see what kind of offer could be made but I'm not gonna complain, you made a move that you felt was necessary. In every trade, someone usually eats it but they eat it taking a risk for reward or to just get rid of a Cowboy or someone they don't like or don't feel they can trust.... doesn't matter. Glad you found someone to dance with you! Yay a trade! Nice job fellas.

For me, the rush was to get the cowpie off my squad. Every second he was there, a part of me was dying. I said from day one that he was available. I also put it on the league trade block. Boone was the first to make an offer, which I refused, and made a counter offer, which he accepted. That's the way it was supposed to work. If offers were coming in in droves, maybe I would have held out for the best deal. As it is, Boone and I have done a trade that we can both live with.

Win/win.

Never thought you'd take the deal. But Lynch was the only player on your roster that was almost equal value, IMO. i know you would be giving a little more than you were getting. But, when you said you'd take him, quoting my announcement that he was available, I took it upon myself to offer you the only trade I would have accepted at the time. It's all good my friend. Maybe we can do business in the future.

Yay a trade! Nice job fellas.
Well, Boone is my hero.

See Lanky, You kept the league up too late the other day! :instigate:

Probably some truth in that! Sorry for the grumpiness guys!

I know Dead Money is mostly joking but I mostly agree.

And Lanky, it ain't no fun being the Commish but we appreciate it whether everyone loves every decision or not.

I guarantee you after all this Dez Bryant will break his arm in the first game and Wes Welker will have a Pro Bowl year. It's how it goes...

I trust everyone here to make trades in good faith. Having league-approved trades is for leagues where everyone doesn't know each other you have to make sure people aren't in collusion with one another. I seriously doubt that's the case here, especially since a Cowboy is involved. :)

BTW, if anyone is bitter a decent WR is off the block I got plenty, and desperately need a RB. ANY RB.

Just an FYI.

I'm fine with it. I just hope Boone wore a condom.

I kid.......joke people, lol.

Good luck to everyone.

Easy, Mr. Doesn't Read the Whole Thread before posting...the trade ha(d) been approved for over an hour (when you posted). Couldn't resist another shot at the Commish though, I understand. :)

I think you're just used to not "approving" anything. Third person references suit you. :nana:

Henry,

If Rashard Mendenhall interests you and you'd be willing to part ways with one of your current RBs as part of the deal, fire off a trade offer to me.

Maybe we can work something out.

- CH.

Anyone else having problems with the Yahoo mobile app? It keeps telling me there is a mandatory update, but when I go to the play store, it says its up to date. Strange.
