This is absolutely true. But they also don’t need to patronize the fanbase.The stance that it is either necessary or required for the decision-makers to earn the fans’ trust is adorable.
Their future employment is based on results, not on the basis of fan feelings. At least I hope so.
If they believe in what they are doing, keep doing it.
Proof is in the pudding.
But… fans don’t have to blindly trust anyone. If they believe the FO needs to prove it for them, the individual fan, to trust the FO then… that’s their prerogative.
It just doesn’t dictate the GMs employment in any way.
