2025 Season

Must tease.

Is Riggo reincarnated actually Jayden Daniel's mother?
Concerned that Daniels and McLaurin are having their focus distracted from the Lombardi
Being serious.

We've had so many years to witness McLaurin's work ethic and drive. He played on absolutely hopeless teams and always worked to be the best he could be even when his coaches quit on and off the field. The one thing we heard repeatedly about Jayden is how he arrives every morning before the coaches to get in extra film study and his preparation shows. It's not by accident he had that good a rookie season. It is not impossible that some of it went to his head and he'll have a sophomore slump, but I doubt it'll be because he doesn't put in the work.

Both decided to bail on the Pro Bowl - one went and got hitched and the other seems to be traveling to the NCAAs vs being 100% in on closing the gap with the Philadelphia Eagles.
I'll be honest, I was surprised they skipped the Pro Bowl even though it is routine for the top players these days to do so. For Daniels, everything is new. For McLaurin, he went the last time. Their decisions may have come about for different reasons.

1) Daniels after his senior year, draft prep, playing 20 games, etc. may just have been tired and he decided it was better for his team for him to heal up, rest, and not participate in a self-promotional game. No one cares about the Pro Bowl anymore. Not the teams, not the players, and while I think most fans want their players voted in I'm not sure if they care about whether they play or not.

2) Rivera conditioned Washington to expect an early vacation. So Terry and his bride scheduled the wedding for after the season. He was still optimistic enough to not plan anything during the playoffs (or maybe they pushed the wedding back, who knows?), but he's done the Pro Bowl thing and he's never done the marriage thing. He chose family. I support people choosing family over job pretty much every time.

Last thought, playing in the NFL Pro Bowl is akin to NBA players taking part in the dunk contest.

A few thoughts:

  1. Playing in whatever it is they now do at the pro-bowl has no effect on winning anything. It's a bunch of random games, there isn't real football played, it's essentially a party. And given they both played in the NFCCG the week before, a break is probably more beneficial than anything else
  2. You're honestly going to say a player should not get married in the off-season? That's a bit out there.
  3. And if Jayden Daniels wants to go watch some NCAA Women's basketball, there is a problem with that? The next meaningful game won't be for another (checks calendar) 6 months.

I'm sure both are working out, staying in shape, but after a season, taking some time to decompress, recover and rest is just as important as continuing to study and improve.

These guys have lives to live outside of just being robots.

Congrats to Terry for getting married, and if Jayden wants to go watch Juju play basketball (very unfortunate about her torn ACL), then do it.

I have no doubt they'll be ready when called on.

Afraid that Daniels will quit to become a Put, Put golf pro.

he cant work out or watch film anywhere but Virginia? How do you have any clue what effort they're making to close that gap? CBA has massive limits to what access the team is allowed to have with players during the offseason. It's literally written into the rulebook that workouts cannot start until the 3rd week of April since we don't have a new HC.

God Forbid Terry McLaurin go get married. Man what is he thinking. Terrible to think about having a family. SHEESH.

The team hasn't even had the draft yet. I 100% support a team coming off AN NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME having a few weeks or months to spend some time with their friends and families and enjoy themselves. 5 minutes after that picture you posted, Jayden's mom sat between him and Juju while at that same game. Obviously he's not distracted. He's just having some fun. His home is in San Bernardino, a suburb of LA where... USC is. He likely didn't even travel to California for this, he was already out there.

Terry skipped the Pro Bowl because his wedding was THE WEEKEND AFTER THE SUPER BOWL, 2 weeks after the Pro Bowl. It's likely, the person we all know Terry is, put his wife and wedding planning ahead of a skills competition and flag football game. It's likely he did this so he WOULDN'T interfere with meaningful games that would effect the team. He did it so he could have give his bride the wedding she wanted, the honeymoon she wanted, the newlywed phase she wanted, and he would be able to get back to work with no interference on the part that matters... THE TEAM.

Someone got him, I didnt.... i liked my rant though.
