Let's get rolling now! Post it all here. Hopefully we get to the playoffs and progress from there. Lots of roster changes and we still have the draft in front of us. JD will be in season 2 and I expect him to grow and improve.

Here is how I see it, right or wrong. I agree with Hail Raiser that Filthy has been built correctly.

We need to win the NFCE!!!
1. BEAT Filthy at least once.
2. NYG had a good off season. They are stronger but lack a QB. 2x wins are crucial
3. dalASS is a wild card. Again, 2x wins are crucial

JD will be highly prepared and no longer a rookie. We have strengthend our team but still have some weaknesses. Hopefully we have a great draft and can pull this together.

I'm ready to rock. Lets discuss our thoughts, expectations and week to week joys, fears and sadness! LOL! 🤣

HAIL!!!

As I write this, I am finding irony because I am the guy who always says you can't tell anything about a schedule until you're at least a month into it, and even then the NFL is a week to week league.

Having said that, here are the home and away opponents for next year:

Home
Dallas Cowboys (NFC East)
New York Giants (NFC East)
Philadelphia Eagles (NFC East)
Seattle Seahawks (NFC West)
Detroit Lions (NFC North)
Chicago Bears (NFC North)
Las Vegas Raiders (AFC West)
Denver Broncos (AFC West)

Away
Dallas Cowboys (NFC East)
Philadelphia Eagles (NFC East)
New York Giants (NFC East)
Green Bay Packers (NFC North)
Minnesota Vikings (NFC North)
Kansas City Chiefs (AFC West)
Los Angeles Chargers (AFC West)
Atlanta Falcons (NFC South)
Miami Dolphins (AFC East)

So we play the NFC East, NFC North, AFC West + 2nd in NFC South (Atlanta) + 2nd in AFC South (Miami) + 2nd in NFC Wet (Seahawks)

There are 4 teams representing 5 games who, at this point in time, have an unknown or unsettled QB situation:

New York Giants
Las Vegas Raiders
Minnesota Vikings
Atlanta Falcons (I need to see more from Penix before I size him up. )

This is also the year we have 8 home games and 9 away games, absent a game being played internationally.

To me, the success of the season is for the offense to increase it's explosive plays, and the defense to limit explosive plays.

- We had a very good offense last year, but we almost always had to go on 8+ play drives for 4+ minutes to score a TD. Nothing was easy. We had to convert a high percentage of 3rd adn 4th downs, because we rarely got explosives out of either the run OR pass games.

We need to do better. The hope is the addition of Tunsil and a better OL in general allows a little more time for downfield routes to develop, and Deebo can take some of the shorter routes farther than D. Brown, OZ or the cadre of other WRs we had could.

To me, we're still missing a home run threat. I'm hoping we get a RB with speed or a WR with speed in the draft.

- The defense has to, and I mean HAS TO, be better against the run. We've essentially replaced the majority of the starters or players who got significant playing time on the DL except for Payne. We need better play on the DL, the DEs have to set the edge, and the run defense cannot be the liability it was last year.

I'm really grading the season on those 2 things. If we can do those two things, I think the record is going to take care of itself.

But I'm mostly interested in the progress of the offense getting explosive plays, and the ability for the run defense to improve dramatically.

I totally agree they can't keep relying on 12 play 8 minute drives or converting 87% of their 4th downs. They know they need to be more explosive which is why I have been screaming for an upgrade at RB for several years. They also needed to improve their protection to allow for longer plays to develop and they have already done that. There is no doubt they will address RB in the draft, and those picks tend to be safer as you know what you are going to get at RB in the draft more than probably any other position.

They addressed LT already, as you mentioned.

I don't know what they are going to do at RB. But I think they need one more weapon with SPEED to compliment Terry, Deebo, N. Brown, Robinson, Ekler and whatever we get out of McCafferty and other WRs/RBs.

I love Ertz, but he's slower than a slug stuck in the mud at this point. Ideally Sinnott will see more time and can stretch the middle of the field a bit also.

Silly season indeed.

Head coach and OC in the Giants favor. Do I smell a whiff of desperate homer? It's either that or a click-baiting troll.

No, that is why New York finished with a better record than us last year.
Right right right. I forgot about that.

I will say, the NYG's have been the Washington Red Commander Team's daddies for decades. Even when they have been bad, they have found a way to beat us. And I get that.

But I'm not sure, coming off of the last 2 season, you can say the Giants have a better HC/OC than the Giants. I DO think some of the position groups are close. But we are better coached. And have a better QB, and that really does help.

Yeah but didn't you read the comments?

They'll have a better quarterback too once they sign rodgers/wilson/flacco.
I did.

Rodgers and Wilson, I’d say JD5 is probably better. But man, if they get Flacco, we should just concede the season and hand them the Lombardi now.

If you read enough of the comments they start to really shred this moron.
He's clearly a troll, one comment said the giants opened as favorites in Vegas to win the nfc east.

Did you not pick up on my sarcasm?

Who you callin jr?
Junior was an autocorrect somehow. I meant to say “I did not.”

And I was simply building on your sarcasm. The whole thing was hysterical.

Sorry for the confusion.

PS: I edited the previous post to remove the autocorrect thing.
