2025 - 2026 Commanders Schedule

And the thing with this schedule if the eagles and skins are good they could play 3 games in 4 weeks

Assuming that schedule is right, the first half of the season looks a lot easier than the second.

Second half could be tougher or weaker than expected. All it takes is a key injury or two to throw the late schedule into cakewalk or nightmare mode (depending who gets it).

Or the slightly more uncommon theme of a teams incoming rookie class is just that good it makes them suddenly a tough opponent.

Welp...shit!
I'm going to miss two games...including the opener. 😒

Going to feel a lot different this year with all the Primetime games. At this point the first half of the year seems to be the easier half. Not thrilled with playing Philthy (or anyone for that matter) twice inside of three weeks, but oh well. If the team wins the Christmas game against the Pukes...awesome, if they lose it...I will have to try not to go to crazy Clark Griswold level in front of the family lol.

Weeks 3, 4, and 5 are against run focused offenses. We'll find out pretty quickly if our run defense is as bad as last year or not. That should set the tone for the end of season showdowns with the Eagles.

Chicago @ Washington, Monday Night Football - Week 6

That has to be like 4 of the last 5 years we've played them on prime time between TNF and MNF.

Chicago AT Washington 2 years in a row? Lot of story lines in this one, Caleb v JD, Hail Mary rematch, Ben Johnson.

Ben Johnson and his ego will be out for revenge. That'll be an exciting contest, for sure.

That happens a lot in the NFL. Chicago is in the same conference as us. Our division plays their divisor every three years. Three years ago they had the home game so it was our turn to have the home game. Last year we played them, but not because the East was playing the North, but rather was the last place vs last place games that we play against other conference foes, which has a different schedule of home and away.

I believe this is actually the 3rd straight year we have a home game against them. In 2023 we lost at home to them 20-40 (in the third place vs third place game), last we beat them 18-15 in the fourth place vs. fourth place game.

All these prime time games are a bummer, I hate waiting all weekend. But it's the price of success as the NFL is obviously anxious to showcase their new face of the league. All this exposure will be great for the team. There are 8 year old kids all over the country who are about to select their team. This exposure will turn a kid in Wyoming into a kid in Wyoming asking for Commanders gear at Christmas. It will grow our army, an aging fansbase desperate for an infusion of youth.

I still fear the prime time curse, of course, new regime but the ptsd is there from years past. Also, I'm not a fan of being up late when I have to work the next day. My alcohol recovery time isn't what it used to be.

A game in Spain? Is it played mainly on the plain?
