Mike, let's be honest. You don't care for my posts and by and large when you respond to them you either reply with a laughing in the aisle or other dismissive emoji or comment.

I don't get offended by that because you evidently don't care for me and that's OK because not everyone in this world is going to be another person's cup of tea.

For YOU to now feign sensitivity over a comment I made in response to a post you made that I think ignores all of the factors Peters considered in making this decision is nothing short of being hypocritical.

You get what you give in this life.

Let’s all take a breath. We are just offering conflicting opinions about football. Doesn’t require moderation.

With the Chargers, he has averaged 80 yards and over half a TD per game on an average of just 14 touches.

He has also been just one guy on a team with a lot of guys - Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Joshua Palmer - and those are just the names from the 2023 season.

You guys can’t put each other on ignore if you don’t want to see each others posts.

I hear you there. But, last year he had 74 yards receiving. I'm not sold on the receiving RB unless he's a monster at one or the other.
Also, he has one of the best QBs throwing/handing him the ball. I'm not sure who our next QB is or if our OL is even going to be any better than it was when Howell was broken back there.

The one argument that can be made IMO is not about his past production but rather whether he can repeat any of that here.

90 catches in a season is excellent. A 10.8 per catch average that year is in tight end territory and much better than what most backs average.

Where we see him going down to 6.7 yards per catch recently puts him more in the 'solid' receiver category vs. anything really special.

Fair concerns. He did reportedly struggle with an ankle injury most of last year and is reportedly healthy now but I hear you.

Kind of about perception when it comes to Ekeler. If we had brought him in as RB1 and paid him RB1 money, I'd definitely be taken aback by it. But as RB2, on a friendly contract, and as an on and off-field veteran presence with clear potential to be an asset to a young QB in a new offense for a year or two ... seems to me it's a pretty solid acquisition.

And again, I don't think we're done. Robinson, Ekeler, Rodriguez ... and a true speed/hands guy. I'll take that RB room in year one.

I hear ya. The two years prior we're ok I can say that. I just don't know if I believe we have the talent or offense for that. Guess we'll see if Kingsbury becomes a guru!

Ok, so I may be old and mentally slow but I’m confused- I see 74 targets, not 74 yards receiving.

Well, you are old but I must be the one that's mentally slow. I read it wrong. It helps his case, but I'm still not sold on what Kingsbury said though
