2024/2025 Playoff Standings

Good thing the Rams conference record is 4-5. That might help if we tie with them in the end.

Gotta hope that the Seahawks fall apart now. The Rams are legit. Seahawks play Min, GB and Rams so they could lose all 3.
IF we go 3-1 and only lose to the Eagles - we'd be 8-4 in the conference and they'd be 7-5 so would win the tiebreaker. Sucks to not have more buffer room and be able to rest starters against Dallas, well unless the Rams lose.

Hopefully the Packers lose too.

A lot of things over the next 4 weeks to determine playoff seeding. If the Rams play like they did today, they can beat anybody, but can they consistently play like they did today?

We're not catching Minn / Det, so the best we can do is the 6 seed anyway. We're a game behind Green Bay. We play NO / ATL / PHI / DAL. They play SEA / NO / MINN / CHI. I think the scheduling favors us with that.

LA Rams play SF / NYJ / ARI / SEA. Again, i think the schedule favors us.

I actually think 2 - 2 gets it done, 3 - 1 finds us coming down to a Tie Breaker for the 6 seed. GB has to go TO SEA and TO MIN.

Ultimately you wanna handle your own business. We should want to win each of the next 4 games, and I think all 4 are winnable. Philly is tough, but I'm not convinced we're outclassed. The other 3 are games we are a tier or two above each of the opponents. Of course we need to take things one game at a time....

Some quick, back of a bar napkin SOS math going into tonight’s game-

SOS for games won so far:

NYG- 2-11 .153
CINN- 4-8 .333
ARZ- 6-7 .461
CLE- 3-10 .230
CAR- 3-10 .230
CHI- 4-9 .307
TEN- 3-10 .230
TOT- 25-65 .277

SOS for remaining games:

NO- 5-8 .384
PHI- 11-2 .846
ATL- 6-7 .461
DAL- 5-7 .416
TOT- 27-24 .529

Obviously PHI skews the total, so…

SOS for remaining games minus PHI:

16-22 .421

I still think 10 gets it done but it will be through a tiebreaker on the last game of the season.

11 is almost certain.

Ideally we win the next 2 against beatable opponents. That gets us to 10 and everything that happens in the final 2 weeks is gravy

Good thing the Rams conference record is 4-5. That might help if we tie with them in the end.

For right now, it does. First tiebreaker for two non-division teams is conference record. We're 5-3 to the Rams 4-5.

The only team with a better conference record that's fighting for a wildcard spot is Atlanta at 6-3, but we play them head-to-head so the conference record likely won't matter for tiebreaking procedures against them.

Really hope we can snag that #6 seed. I'd feel much better about a potential wild card game if we go up against the winner of the NFC South/West.

11 is almost certain.
I believe (if I'm not mistaken) that 11 would give us the 7 seed for certain.

The only two teams that could get to 11 wins are the rams and seahawks and they play each other.
Best the seahawks can do is 12 wins and that would put the rams at 10 which would give us the wildcard at 11-5
Best the rams can do is 11 wins and they'd have a worse conference record than we would so either way if we get to 11 wins I'm pretty sure we're guaranteed the 7 seed.

One win by us or one loss by them I believe eliminates them.

Well, maybe not. The best they can do is get to 9 wins. They currently hold the tie breaker over us. Sadly unless they lose and we win they can’t be eliminated next week

But if they do lose and we win, they are officially eliminated I think because we’d have 9 wins and they couldn’t get to 9. And the teams ahead of us already have 9 wins.

They’re @Carolina next weekend. Let’s see if the feisty panthers can grab a win.

Love the cowboys and giants playoff chance percentages on that chart.

Less than one percent and zero. :rotflmao:

Yes - though it shouldn't matter - we will have to be able to beat any team in any venue on our path to the Lombardi. It's just a matter of the 6 or 7 seed.
A 49ers win gives us a touch more breathing room to the 7th seed.

It would be ideal to lock in the playoffs by getting to 7 wins and then hope for the 6th seed with 11 wins.

The Rams losing helps make getting in with 10 wins more likely .
