In the end yes, but wouldn't it be nice to see the Bucs stub their toe and lose to the Cowboys and then get beaten by the Chargers?

With 8 losses Washington would have to go 1-3 over the last 4 weeks for it to matter.

I think we want the Bucs to win the division going away, and giving Dallas their 8th loss would be good for us.

We want Dallas out of any potential of thinking they have a chance. Bengals need to drop 60 on them today.

We need Atlanta and the NFC west contenders to all lose. Bucs can win. Somebody has to win that division. It’s going to most likely be them. Might as well root for them to do it with room to spare.
 
What if the Bucs and Falcons both lose? A win for me. Also, the Saints really just look like they're trying to give the game to the Giants. If only NY wasn't worthless.

I really don't think that saints/giants game matters. Neither of those teams are going to compete for the playoffs.

I'm definitely rooting against the Bucs/Falcons though. Agreed.

Do you think the Dallas defense becomes that much less of a laughingstock with Lawrence and Diggs playing?
 
I personally feel Bucs will win their division and Falcons win the other 3 games they have besides us. So i think it comes down to us beating Saints and Dallas. The. We either have to best Eagles OR Falcons to make the playoffs.
 
Penix may be playing soon but he won’t help that defense.

Even though there are things like "QBRec" - there is a lot more to winning football games than the QB. There are still 10 other players on O, and importantly the defensive side to consider.

However, this is the type of thinking that leads to Prescott and Jones getting the contracts they did, so... I ain't mad at it. As long as the Commanders don't follow suit, that is.

If their season is entirely over, they might not play in the finale.

Which is why I want them to lose and be eliminated by week 18.

Giants over Saints: doesn’t really matter but a win possibly keeps the giants from the #1 draft pick and a 9th loss for the Saints kills momentum and might have them start to tailspin again.

Vikings over Falcons. The Vikings are out of reach. A loss by the falcons puts them 2 back in the loss column from us from any potential tiebreaker and keeps Tampa in front for the division. Which we want since we lose the head to head tiebreaker with Tampa

Bucs over Raiders. Put them in the lead for the division.

Panthers over Eagles would be great but the chances of that are akin to running into Sydney Sweeney at the Great Falls Safeway buying Champaign to bring with her as she comes to hang out in my hot tub. I mean, it could happen. But it won’t.

Seahawks over Cardinals: gives the cards their 7th loss and lets the Seahawks surge towards the division.


Bills over Rams: gives the Rams their 7th loss. Breathing room.

Bengals over Cowboys: Becuase Dallas. Also that ends their 2 game win streak and puts them at 8 losses.

Bears over 49ers: that gives them 8 losses and essentially ends their playoff chances. I don’t think this will happen but eh. It could depending on SF injuries.

- Bucs over Raider
- Seattle over Arizona


Panthers couldn’t pull off a stunner. Oh, well.
Bears stink. Oh, well.

Just waiting to see what happens with the Rams and Bills. Really want the Bills to win. Consolidation prize: if they lose, Bills Mafia can cry themselves to sleep.
 
Who are the most dangerous enemy looking to take our spot- the Falcons, Rams, or 49ers? We have the ability to put the Falcons out of commission ourselves - what will be done about the Rams lurking just 1 game behind us if we lose to the Eagles? The Bills really fucked us over by sleep walking today until the 4th quarter.
 
Gotta hope that the Seahawks fall apart now. The Rams are legit. Seahawks play Min, GB and Rams so they could lose all 3.
